I thought the premise would get wringed dry quickly and I would get tired of it by the end, but it sustained my interest even though it had its fair share of banal cops and robbers tv script filler BS that I don't care about

What I found interesting was the character of Homelander is truly excellent in a diabolical way. The actor in that role is quite brilliant.

And the end of the final episode was a good plot twist. I figured out what was going to happen during the middle of that critical penultimate scene, but it was clever enough to make me nod in approval at the scriptwriting.

I'll watch season 2 when it comes out

The actor that plays Homelander is really good. I could see them trying to figure out the casting as "We need an actor who has the dry, semi psychopathic aloofness and vaguely disturbing elitist good looks that William Hurt brought to some early roles" and bingo! They found him.

Good ref, but he's even better than Hurt would have been. This guy nails the fatuous, haughty shell he has built up while the toxic rage that grows inside slips out in small, perfectly articulated doses. He totally gets the control issues this character has. It seems pretty well cast overall, but Homelander is perfect casting that takes the show to another level.

If you have time watch Banshee. He’s the lead in that. It’s over the top but good.

Banshee, Pennsylvania! I loved that show. How about that fight between him and Sanchez at the casino?

Definitely high-octane action.

OK, thanks Kat. I had never heard of it. I looked it up. It sounds exactly like my kind of show.

I'm trying not to start new series because of the time suck. I have a very short list which is Mad Men (which is like 90 hours of viewing, but I have to watch it), Deadwood and Carnivale and now Banshee. It could take me years to get through them all.

Not sure. I know he’s involved with it somehow and was a coach for a team there

I was fixing my old Sega Dreamcast that broke. I got it to work, and just to make sure it was working, I had two computers face each other in NBA 2k2. It was a 15 min/quarter game. I let it run and came back two hours later.

It also used my Knick team that I had in a franchise mode. I reacquired Patrick Ewing, and got Marbury, Rashard Lewis, Mike Miller, Michael Jordan, and Steve Kerr. Check out these stats lol:

I remember playing a few months ago, and doing a modern small ball lineup like Camby, Lewis, Spreewell, Houston, and Marbury.

I'd play Ewing and MJ just for fun.

Keeping it going. After "The Boys" TV show, and in between the reading, gave "Wu Warrior" on Netflix a shot.

I wanted to like it. I knew it would be a little cheesy. I mean, it has Iko Uwais! in it.

It basically sucks. After the first episode I didn't want to continue, but figured I should give it two or three episodes before deciding. It doesn't get any better.

On to "Banshee"

I've added "McMafia" and reading Peter Cook's "The Black Company" series to my other 8 or 10 books I'm reading. Basically I read like I have ADD. Who knows, maybe I do, a little. Obviously if it was a lot, I'd know.

I watched the trailer to Wu Assassins and I was like "This is too cheesy." And I like campy stuff but you have to have a keen wit to pull it off. So, I didn't even watch an episode and it looks like I still made the right decision. #Lazy

Oh, check out "Bad Blood" on Netflix starring Kim Coates, Anthony LaPaglia, Paul Sorvino, et al. about the Montreal Mob boss Vito Rizzuto during the big turf wars there. It's not The Sopranos, but I give 4.5/5. I really like Kim Coates' acting.

Probably not bc it would be "normal" to you. It's like walking around with "stinky ass." You have no idea but everyone else around thinks you're turning.

We talking any Jeffrey Epstein here? The autopsy report came out pointing to homicide rather than suicide. I read a comment in the HuffPost article pointing out how the theory of the Epstein murder lines up with Shakespeare's Macbeth for you Shakespeare experts out there.

So who was the mastermind behind Epstein's murder?

A. Clinton

B. Trump

C. Obama

D. Clinton and Trump

E. Clinton and Obama

F. Clinton, Trump, and Obama

G. None of the above

H. Other: ___________________ (specify)
