Knox has the frame and body type to be a ripped monster with strength and reach. Can't believe people have given up on him already.

Knox could become a monster in 3-4 years with his frame. What's really unfortunate is his lack of footspeed. He's definitely going to be a 4.

I do need to see better body language, less selfish play and some effort on defense from him this upcoming season though. I didn't like his attitude last season. Not saying it's too late because he has all the tools and he's only been playing basketball for a few years, but he's really gonna need to change his mental approach for me to believe in him.

I think he wants to dunk on LeBron but he's smart enough to know that challenging LeBron is not exactly a recipe for success.

Berman quoted Clyde as saying that with all the vets we signed, Knox and RJ have to show that they deserve to start.

Sounds like a preemptive strike by Clyde against Fizdale. Even Clyde thinks Fizdale is clueless.

What did Fizdale even do to be clueless?

Did he say Knox and RJ starting?

He said he was going to fix Mudiay and then he played both him and Burke over Frank. Last season, in its entirety, is Exhibit A. So I just don't trust him to make the right decisions with this team.

No, he didn't say Knox and RJ are starting but a lot peeps around here have (well, just RJ).

I think the plan was to sit KP out all year so we dont risk injury and that we tank for Zion.

His whole you gotta earn ur mins philosophy he stayed true too. Muiday outplayed Frank

Mudiay scored more. If that is the only definition of "outplayed", then maybe. But that doesn't absolve Fiz of cluelessness.

Especially when his earning minutes philosophy was supposedly centered around defense and ball movement.

This doesn't even address the wisdom of playing someone who has 0% chance of being on the roster the following season over someone that is still under contract.

I operate under the assumption that Perry brought Mudiay in, and wanted him to play. If Frank had outplayed him he would have earned the minutes, but I don't think he earned them. Mudiay obviously didn't show anything in the end.

That still implies a preferential treatment of Mudiay that is just bad asset management.

I'm not really disagreeing with you though. I expect to see that exact scenario play out again with Payton.
