How can you call yourself a professional writer who publishes on the web and have paragraph blocks of that size? Amateurish

He was great when he was a Knick.

The Knicks FO traded him to have the option to contract KD and KI.

Worked out super-good.

"If they stay healthy"

Uh huh, KP staying healthy enough to have a HOF career is about as likely as this bag of raisins I'm munching on turning into a bottle of wine

Actually, KP never fulfilled "great" when he was here. Just "very good".

Also, he didn't want to be here, so for once the Knicks were proactive and cleared cap space and got back some assets.

It wasn't all for "KD & KI". Not by a long shot.

It was about cap space and taking a shot, for sure. It was also about making a decision not tying the franchise to KP for the next 5 years, if he wanted to be here or not, and he didn't.

It's almost like this hasn't been discussed over 500 pages or anything.

Yeah, the Knicks may have missed out on a "HOF'er".

It's just as likely they missed out on maxing out another version of Kevin Love.

I'm sorry. i think your view is crazy. Why would you want to give away even a "Kevin Love"?

I get it.. I’m not comfortable with my team maxing out a fragile “Kevin love” coming off an ACL injury

KP was good and had some great games. I’m not going to say he was very good overall but maybe if we factor in D. Otherwise he was a B/B+ offensive player.

Whatever you think KP will turn out to be, he did not want to be here. And anyone who doesn't want to be here can leave.

I never said RJ would or should start my good friend. He shouldn't and, if Fizdale is smart, he won't. Which means he will, I guess. :eek1:

Why wouldnt you want Morris out there with the young guys?

He was a good mentor to the Celtics young guys.

I do want Morris out there. I really really want a second unit of just our kids coming off the bench. Let the vets start and set the tone. If DSJ or Payton earn the starting PG job, then so be it. But Frank comes off the bench and get solid rotation minutes off the bench, preferably at PG.

Because it would tie the franchise in a max way to a non max player. This MIGHT have been part of their thinking. It could have been all about how disgruntled KP was. It may backfire either way and KP becomes great. We don't know and won't know for a bit. **** KP anyway, he's a maverick now.

Dirk with 9.5 rebounds at the same age versus KP's 6. .

The Knicks did not trade KP because we were trying to add KD + KI, the Knicks trading him because they knew he would bolt for nothing "Good Riddense!" I don't want anyone that doesn't want to be here because it starts to show on and off court (Think Lebron). Bad body language destroys team chemistry. KP, especially with his off court issues (Rape allegations was not the only incident ) was becoming more and more of an uncontrolled diva right before our eyes and each one of us saw it so nobody can say "I didn't see that coming. Dude was known for drinking too much, coming on to other guy's girlfriends, and refused to listen to the FO when told to bring it down a notch. He had to go.

KP is no Dirk. He should focus on being a top defender and developing himself into a very reliable but realistic scorer.

And he needs to pass the ball better by the way.
