mitch, randle, rj, and i hate to admit it, dsj
those guys are guaranteed minutes and likely starting roles. the 4 of them growing and playing well offers the best chance to turn the franchise around. whatever happens in training camp is not gonna change that.

But Fiz said keep what you kill!
It's cold blooded that you just sliced Kev out

It's not exactly a vote of confidence for DSJr that a PG the FO just signed is being given a shot at starting.
Hey, competition is good, but another way to look at it is, they just told DSJr "Yeah, we're not convinced you should start".
Did they tell Randle he's fighting for a starting job?“Nobody’s guaranteed no starting lineup, no minutes, none of that. Fiz voiced that. Everyone’s got to earn their minutes and position.”
It's genuinely adorable that Knox believes that

Which is why using the raw MPG stat is misleading.

not if you watched him
listen, kev is a year away from being treated like frank by the knicks org. he better be working extra hard this summer.

I can agree with that but him playing more wasn’t going to miraculously lead to him learning how to play the point guard position at nba level.

Probably would have helped more than not playing him.

At the expense of everyone else on the team?

All those players that aren't here?

Frank at PG was the highest performing lineup we rolled out all season. Seems like he was helping.
Certainly more than Manny, Mario, Burke, Knox, etc...

most likely not but you drafted him high, so let him sink or swim
i don't think i believe this, but it could be that they think they're protecting him by not doing that. they expect him to most likely fail so they're letting him develop for a few years before they try it. the only problem is next year is the last year of his rookie deal and you have to know what you got before then. they're probably just not high on him.
