He'll likely go back to AAA if nobody claims him off waivers.

How many times do you play the Orioles this season? 30? 40?

You guys have an 11-4 record against the Marlins this year. Just sayin'

Looking forward to seeing Jonathan Loaisiga pitch. I thought he had better stuff than D. German. When I saw a list of times he pitched, I swore it was more than that, but other than when he fell off last year, he looked really good in his brief appearances. Might be nice as multiple inning guy in the BP, as NY Post stated.

Mets got above .500 and all the NY tabloids and Met fans collectively lost their sh*t.

Look at all my sensitive mates on Yankees thread.
When you’ve been as bad as we’ve been all season and you reel off 14/16, um, yeah. But I’m not fooled by that. The same shyt happened last year except in the beginning of the season when we won 11 in a row.
Bottom line is that you have to beat up on the bad teams to be successful. It just seems like every time I turn on a game, they’re playing the Orioles. Am I wrong?

Even Happ and Cessa couldn't stop the train from rolling over the Orioles.
I'm pleasantly shocked.

Re: Official 2019 Yankees Thread II
I love our fans, but at the same time our fans are fickle as all hell.
After last season, we are pissed we are hr heavy and some regret we traded for Stanton. Off-Season rolls along and after months of Bryce and Machado in the free agency market, fans want Cashman to sign one of the two. Bryce was another all or nothing type of player, which didn’t even fill a need in the OF. At least the people who wanted Machado made sense cause he at least could hit for a steady avg and was terrific at 3B. But anyway, we don’t sign either of them and fans say Cashman is cheap af, ignoring the fact that he just acquired a big time contract in Stanton just last season, and Harper and Machado both signed record contracts.
After Yankee fans were preaching for more contact, many for some reason wanted Harper. Who has the 6th worst contact rate in the big leagues right now. If we signed him, people would’ve been pissed at Cashman and the FO for again going for big names and power. And Machado has been nothing spectacular so far either. Gio Urshela and LeMahieu have been fkn amazing for us this yr so far.
And just a couple weeks ago, we had a ton of fans throwing in the towel on the season. After nearly getting swept by Boston and failing to acquire a SP, and also the Astros getting Greinke. We had fans again pissed at Cashman and people saying we are a regular season team and there was no use to watch the games anymore cause we wee gonna get smoked in the playoffs. Now that we swept Boston and have been on a steak since, now we have fans saying we are a championship contending team and we have a real shot once we get healthy and continue to hit well with RISP.
Look, we have an amazing team whether we win it all or not. After getting DECIMATED by injuries this yr, we have done a phenomenal job and having the best record in the bigs. Boone, Cash, the hitting coach and the minor leaguers have stepped up and deserve credit. Rothschild is one of the few who legit deserves criticism for his performance as pitching coach. But you know what, the postseason is about timely pitching performances. Having that Ace always helps, but the Dodgers haven’t won shyt with the Ace of Aces in Kershaw. Eovaldi was never viewed as a dependable pitcher, but he came through when it mattered most. Same w/ Price in the post-season. And countless of other teams who have won the championship with pitchers who stepped up when the lights shined brightest.
Our SP has been ass, no doubt about it. But I do have faith in our bullpen. And I do have faith in Tanaka, Paxton and also if Sevy comes back. I like our team and we have enough to win it all w/ what we have. We just need to continue to hit for avg once the playoffs start and can’t squander opportunities.
