Damn, could've went home with a 2-game lead off a hard fought win.

Hope we can get it back mentally together.
Ottavino and some of our batters better ***** apologize to everyone tonight for wasting their time.

The question remains... why did Boone take Green out with 1 out.

Gotta bring it in the Bronx. We need Stanaton back. Edwin Gary and Didi are cold at the wrong time and place in the order. Beating Cole is imperative.

Re: Official 2019 Yankees Thread II
Correa has no protection behind him and Happ let’s him extend his arms & get something to drive.
I’m sick of Gary offensively too. Complete ass in the playoffs for several yrs now.
On the positive side, I’ll take the split.

Think it was more because he already had 2IP and I think about 25 pitches.
Besides, our offense lost us this game.

My thing is if you're gonna pull Paxton out after 2 and 1/3 and Green is dealing, ride him a little longer than you normally would until you get into the meatier part of the bullpen. There's gotta be some middle ground between doing what the numbers say (Boone) and going on gut feeling (Girardi).

Our offense was atrocious. Not worth playing the guessing game. Bats were lifeless.

That's bs.
Green was looking amazing, there was no reason to bring in Ottovino who's been sh*t for a while in high leverage.
Both offenses were sh*t the entire game.

It’s understood & I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I personally won’t put the blame on Boone for taking him out. Our pitching as a whole was solid, if anything I’m more disappointed in Paxton for causing the ripple effect of using so many relievers and not going deep for the 2nd time this postseason.
I’m putting the blame more on the offense. Astros pitching was really good as well, but we became undisciplined at the plate to make their lives much easier.

I’ve been a supporter of Stanton, & still am, but very disappointed in him for getting injured once again.
Don’t know what up with his body, don’t know if it’s a case of him not putting in the smart work of taking care of his body and prevent injuries. But we need him this time of yr, & it’s just embarrassing for him to be sitting on the sidelines again.

I think his offseason workouts are actually too strenuous and leads to unnecessary risk of injuries

I think Boone's move to pull Chad would have worked, if Ottavino did his damn job. Everyone else put up 0s.
