I’m expecting Smith Jr. to make that third year player jump and average like 18 and 7 with shootings slashes like 43/35/75. Morris will probably be third in scoring at like 13/14 a game with RJ being that 4th guy this year at around 12.

He's probably going to get the second or third most minutes on the team.

RJ is going to take time to develop. His jumper is pretty bad. He's not going to be an out of the box 15+ ppg scorer. Or if he is, it'll be on terrible efficiency.

Morris is the most logical choice. The others are just wishful thinking.

Not a bad pick.

I think RJ will though. He's gonna be given the keys. Likely not efficient.

What's the most ppg in a season on the lowest shooting % and is Rex Chapman the record holder? RJ could challenge!

Eh, Rex didn't score that high. I always remember he took a ton of shots. His first season - 17\2\2 on .414 - RJ will be something like that, but with more rebounds and assists. 17\5\4 on .414 FG%

That would make him the #2 scorer

Randle 25-7-3
DSJ 19-7-4
Barrett 16-6-4
Portis 13-8
Morris 12-5
Knox 11-6
Mitch 11-11-3
Payton 10-6-5
Ellington 7
Trier 8

Dot/Taj/Frank/Iggy won’t play much.

Said it before: Randle was 21-9, sometimes coming off the bench in the big bad west on a team with as many issues as any. He will thrive in a flattened out east as the unquestioned first option.

I think DSJ and Barrett will be neck and neck for #2 scorer with DSJ edging him out as the year goes on.

Knox will go down in ppg but will up his efficiency.

Trier is this year’s Dot: the guy who gets juggled in and out of the lineup.

Eventually Iggy cracks the rotation and I believe it will be in a meaningful way.

Stackhouse once averaged 30 ppg on 40% shooting, I think that qualifies

I have RJ putting up basically what Tim put up last year, 18/4/3 (rounded up) on 39% shooting. That's a high estimate for ppg, I think he's solidly in the 15-18 range

Be pretty close between him and DSJ, with Knox being just outside. None of them are really efficient (yet), so we'll see. I got DSJ breaking out this year if his jumper is legit, I think it takes RJ a couple years to adjust, and Knox is still pretty raw offensively

Since Mudiay led the team and we let him go essentially for Payton was it just a cost decision or indication they think much higher of Payton and could be then emerge as top backcourt scorer? (Thou th i took dsj)

That adds up to 132, I think we are going to struggle to score - Smith isn't that effective at running the point and our guys are primarily volume scorers (also not efficient).

I figure it will be between DSJ, Barret and Knox as second leading scorer - unless Knox loses his starting job to Morris - and even Dotson and Trier have an outside shot; but I anticipate all of them but Knox to average around 11 per game (depending on who gets the minutes). Maybe Randel averages close to 21 and Smith averages 15.

DSJr.

Everybody else will need to stay at the table and eat when they're fed. Once teams start forcing extra attention to Randle and DSJr :o , they'd better be smart enough to serve their teammates because Morris, Knox, Mitch, Trier, hopefully RJ... these boys can eat! And then you have Mitch, Payton and Taj cleaning up the mess... WHOOO BOY, I'M HUNGRY!!!
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

Morris will eventually be our go to scorer, like it or not.

You can’t look it like that because there will be dnps and injuries. Just because it adds up to 132 doesn’t mean that’s what they average per game

Its going to be RJ. RJ is going to destroy opposing guards in the post like he did the last 3 games in summer league. and he makes the right reads in the pick and roll. I think he will score 17-19ppg. We are going to need one of our point guards to develope into an elite catch and shoot 3 point shooter.
