I kind of like how the US has sort of become an underdog here. Makes it easier to root for them and the games more fun. I know Kembas a Celtic now and by default i have to hate him but it's going to be cool to see him try to carry the guys to a title.

I think it will be good to examine how Popovich coach this crop of young players, and treat it as an audition for Tokyo Olympics

I’m impressed Balkman is still active. It seemed like he was last in nba ages ago.

I've only seen the box score but looked like he had a rough outing today.
Czech Republic with Tomas Satoransky might provide a bit of a challenge to the US. Seems like they've put together a pretty veteran heavy team this year.

I don’t understand why these games are not shown on ESPN or NBA tv...?
I don’t think the USA games are even going to be on normal ESPN channels.

Oh yes I have seen him playing live in Hong Kong several months ago in a South East Asia league. He is still the old self, not good at long range but all hustle and outrunning people lol. He played alongside former Wizard PJ Ramos. And his braids is still there too.

Since it is in China, maybe they do not like the contrast timezone? But trust me there should be plenty of steaming links over the Internet.

Despite early slump but Spanish now cruising with Rubio playing a big smile, totally controlled the game against Tunisia, with fellow Dallas big man S.Mejri.
With 2 mins remaining, Spain is leading 94 to 60 with Ribas, Rubio, Gasol, J.Hernangomez and Llull all in double figures.

Incredible performance by France to lead 21 to 4 (

) with Frank playing from bench and making 2/3 (2/2 3pts) and now scoring 6 points.

And Lithuania is blowing away Senegal

USA wins by 21...
We are so fortunate to have a coach like Pop. We send very good players but not our best and we easily beat Czech Republic. Wish the Knicks had a coach like Pop...

Schroeder is just killing France. Seems like it would be a good idea to put their best perimeter defender out there and try to slow him down.

The coach hear your call, but now the game is down to the wire. 4 point differential for 32 seconds.

Finally France escapes, while Frank scores 8 points and a steal in 13 minutes.
Fournier leads all scorer by 26 points with 10 rebounds.

Average game by our Bleus but it’s always nice to beat the Germans.
Defensively we’re set. I mean set, NBA level. The Germans scored only one field goal in the first quarter and had just 4 points.
Gobert was the expected force. The German offense couldn’t get anything in the paint with Rudy out there.
Fournier has led our offense with 26 pts, also had 10 rebounds and 3 assists. We were +20 with him on the floor, -16 without.
Ntilikina had 2 open threes (both in the first half) and 2 free throws on 2 attempts. His second three gave France a 19-4 lead. He got blocked trying to finish a fast break layup to end the first half, he also tried to dunk once and was disrupted, but the fact that he tried is a good sign to me. Overall I wish he’d play with Fournier, Batum and Gobert more. Andrew Albicy, the other French point guard who starts, had 0 pt, 5 ass and 3 turnovers. Frank had 8 pts, no assist but also no turnover in 13 minutes. Both did a good job on Schroder who still had 23 pts but only 7/19 from the field and 4 turnovers in 36 minutes.
Nando de Colo, who’s a star in Euroleague, was horrible today off the bench for us - 0/3 from the field and five turnovers - and it doomed all the French second unit, including Frank (hence why the minus 16) and a good French big, Vincent Poirier. Louis Labeyrie was also bad on all aspects and finished -10 in just seven minutes.
Amath M’Baye was the unexpected factor for the French. Started the game and finished with 21 and 4 and game high plus 24.
