"He will be surrounded by a number of really secure basketball players which will allow him to grow. And those guys will be better if R.J. grows. And they know that because they’ve been on teams that have had really good players.” [h/t Adam Zagoria, Forbes Magazine]

Coach K said it was "smart" of Fizdale to invite him to camp but isn't sure if he'll be able to attend.

"I don't know if I can do that, we're in practice," Coach K said.

FAKE HUSTLE

No, it is a good idea, shows a holistic approach to player care.

Maybe Coach K could have coached RJ to shoot 70% from the line, 35% from college 3 or 50% from the field against college comp.

Thank you.

Also, Fizdale thinks he needs help? :noway:

Probably not, but it can’t hurt. 2 heads are better than 1 even if 1 guy is pushing the buttons,
This idea seems aimed for RJs transition , so i don’t see a downside.

Nothing screams the grit of NYC like the backdrop of the multi million dollar lofts of Tribeca/SOHO

The guys in that picture combined are making over 40 million dollars this year alone. Would it have been more believable to have them posing on a truck tire outside of a 24 hour deli in East Tremont?

I don't see how it's a bad thing for a coach to display the humility to invite a (legendary) 2nd set of eyes. That's a good sign of a guy who really wants to do his job well.

You're telling me.. this past Duke's team couldn't have been historic.

Coach K and his staff did a exceptionally BAD job in developing Zion, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish. These kids were 3 of the top high schoolers on the continent and came out with stagnated skillsets. Yes yall, Zion included.

Case in point, why didn't he take more threes and develop that 3, BEFORE coming to the NBA. RJ, was considered THE top recruit and now he has to put in the work against hard-core vets and develop the confidence in his jumper. Cam Reddish got hurt the most as far as development goes.

If I was a top recruit, I would really be cautious of going to Duke, based on what we just witnessed.
