More than arguing who deserved MVP, my point is more that in Knick lore Reed's relatively poor output in his "tunnel" game has come to make his finals MVP look like a vote of pure inspiration when the guy was a straight beast that series.
Yeah, I feel you. By focusing on the tunnel game, people miss how much of a monster he was while healthy for sure. We definitely should appreciate how key his contributions were. But I also view it like Iguodala's Finals MVP over Curry...Iguodala was huge and his contribution was crucial, but Curry was objectively better imo.
