Re: Frank Thread 3: FIBA Frank Aftermath
Honestly i think the fact that the team management refuses to use the g-league for its top prospects is ridiculous
the youngest players need reps and some of them need a confidence boost as well, some just need to hone what they do well to the point they can do it regularly ...the g-league is a resource that mills and perry are poorly using and need to re-evaluate why they have it .
knox, frank , trier and smith jr need to play down there ....and mitch as well need turns down in westchester to refine parts of their games

Frank and DSJ are past going to the G-League to improve. DSJ is broken and needs to go overseas to get his head together against weak competition. Frank will be a 2nd string guard on a decent team and a 3rd stringer on a very good one. Time to stop believing the best is yet to come from these 2.

Don't forget Randle who is as fundamentally sound as a toddler.

If monk continues his hot streak they won’t take both DSJ and Frank. Would be hilarious if Monk ends up being the best player out of these 3

Pretty average, he seems a little dumb, especially defensively

Rudy Gobert, 2xDPOY, never an all-star.
Ofc, his team hasn't achieved anything either apart from treading water.
Let's tank again, like it was last summer, let's tank again, tankin' time of year.

Getting tired of waiting for his shots to fall! I love this kid on defense but...when does it click on the other end? I still feel they should ride out his rookie deal and see how much more he develops. A consistent 3 ball is all he needs to be a solid rotation player. I'm just getting impatient.
RIP mags

When he grows a pair and gets comfortable. Shooting is more mental than technical. You can have a form like Marion and score if you're comfortable. Are We Ther Yet wrote:Getting tired of waiting for his shots to fall! Honestly I have no idea how Marion ever made a shot.

I would love to trade DSJ for Monk. Add in Portis & Trier for D. Schroder & Diallo.

I think it's between Marion and George McGinnis for best "bad shot" shooter

It's not even close. McGinnis just didn't use a guide hand.thebuzzardman wrote:prophet_of_rage wrote:When he grows a pair and gets comfortable. Shooting is more mental than technical. Weirdly, sometimes he did. Not very often, but here and there. Which is even stranger.

trey burke was out the league , it took a half a season in the g-league for him to be a viable player again...it was purely a confidence thing.
i believe the same is true for smith
frank needs reps, 30-35 minutes a night , people either forget or don't know he played less than 900 minutes of competitive game time in the 3 years before he was drafted ....he simply hasn't played enough
for comparison's sake dennis smith jr played over 1100 minutes as a freshman at nc state in that year alone, not counting high school or aau, frank is at a tremendous competitive disadvantage and it shows primarily in his shot making.
