What happened to all the RJ haters who were doing all that yapping before the game?

Re: PG Thread: Time to overreact
Nice to see rj fg% better than I expected. frank looks good and assertive despite the bad shooting %. ellington can shoot and payton is good at going inside. team looked fluid overall and defensively sound.

Re: PG Thread: Time to overreact
Lots to like tonight. In particular I really like what Morris and Gibson bring. They are tough, winning players. Gibson has a lot more life in his legs than I realized.

Re: PG Thread: Time to overreact
Frank-Ellington-RJ-Knox-Gibson was the most fun lineup out there
Gibson looked a bit gassed later on in the game but with fresh legs he was great. Would like to see more of that lineup going forward. Especially looking forward to RJ and Knox building that chemistry, I like that combo in the frontcourt

Re: PG Thread: Time to overreact
Game ball to Knox. Made a lot of good reads. Didn’t force bad shots. Let the game come to him. Was going up for rebounds. His grab and go was a real nice development to see.

Re: PG Thread: Time to overreact
Randle and Morris handle too much.
RJ is crafty and strong.
Frank kind of looks like the same old Frank, yeah, maybe a little more aggressive, but still clanking easy looks, and is not decisive enough on the drives, just throwing up some weak stuff or looking for someone to pass. But again, a little more agressive is fine, just really needs to find a way to hit shots.

Guys like Morris and Gibson don’t take that BS from other teams. They will end other teams’ runs.

Frank is basically Marcus Smart.
All defense, no offense. It is what it is.

Re: PG Thread: Time to overreact
Positives:
RJ is really good
Knox looked solid, despite not shooting terribly well
Ellington can shoot
Gibson is great
Frank was pretty aggressive
Randle dropped some dimes
Negatives:
Frank's aggresiveness did not translate to efficiency
Morris was good but killed the flow
Randle did not live up to the hype offensively
Mitch played terrible on both ends, despite 4 blocks
Trier was completely mia
Offense can not handle both Randle and Morris on court at the same time, they're like the rich man's version of the Michigan bros last year
Also, this was A: the Wizards, and B: Beal only played like 16 minutes, and we barely won. We're gonna struggle pretty hard over the course of the year

I thought it was encouraging he stayed aggressive at least. His mechanics on his shot were inconsistent though which was disappointing.

Lots of good. It should be a fun year even if we lose a lot of games.... as long as Fiz coaches decently and emphasizes the youth
