Knox needs to go to the G-league and get tons of reps in - shooting, defense, playmaking.

But this organization has shown it has too much pride to send lottery picks to the developmental league. I hate that.

Will we hire Lamar Peters to be our Novak or our Trier?

Yeah I would have done that as well. Of all their young guys Knox seems like the one that could use regular playing time the most and would be the neediest in terms of focused assisted development.

As raw as this kid is, he hit more jumpers in this one game than Mitch has even ATTEMPTED in his entire time with the Knicks.

Slow release but teams will probably give it to him. He’s looking ready to maybe contribute at nba level. He kinda reminds me of DJ Wilson in how he gets around the court. Wooten is a more naturally talented athlete though.

Would you rather have him or Portis?

This dude for 15 minutes a night would bring rim protection, effort, excitement and enthusiasm which could become infectious to a young team. We need more of that, instead of guys coming in and chucking while giving poor defensive effort.

Portis is a net negative unless he’s hot from outside which isn’t often. I agree with you. But if he’s here they are going to play him. They need to get him off the team for someone like Wooten to have a chance.

Nice to see him get that in a win. The guy has damn pogo sticks for legs. Just like Mitch blocking jumpers, it ain't normal for a guy to routinely grab balls out of the air like he's intercepting a pass in football. His timing is excellent. Get this done already Knicks.

We need Wooten and Peters on our NBA roster sometime this season. The main thing Wooten has to fix is to stop swatting every shot into the stands. Most of his blocks he can simply tap to one of his teammates and start a break rather than giving possession back to the opponent. That is the difference between a good shot blocker and a great one.

I agree on bringing up the youngsters, Woot and Lamar. We have to open up a couple of roster spots though. Ivan Raab is on a two-way. I'm not sure what we intend on doing with him. I hope we're talking to Wooten's agent and letting him know that it would be in Kenny's best interest to sit tight for now while we work things out with our roster.
