I think of him in the SSOL offense as the guy getting the rock in stride, usually delivered by Nash, and jamming it. Sure, he got putbacks and some lob jams, but most of it was transitional offense with Amare on the run or juking slips and Nash finding him

if your point is it was more 1 dribble and then dunk then lobs, i guess that's true. but he was also playing with a guy who could make the perfect pass always. we have nobody who can pass like that.

No argument there. Frank ain't Nash

He did a good job recovering and getting a contest but Graham should not have even gotten a clean look at that point. Im not going to blame Frank for the loss but my god have some situational awareness... Randle was good in the clutch until that last ill advised attempt. Im not sure what Fiz was thinking onnthe last play but i actually thought he coached a pretty good game until then. Game was lost before that though. We had so many chances to put this chit away and just let them hang. Stayed in the zone too long.

No need to hedge

If you're not going to blame the loss on Frank then don't blame the loss on Frank.

he was in a different offense. you don't think mitch could thrive in a fast break offense ? he's faster. young amare was like a pogo stick too. he was stronger than mitch though. but it was a different time. in the old days they would have mitch lifting weights to have more power but in 2019 speed is more important so he'll stay slim.

Yes, Amare was an Adonis. Mitch is a coat hanger with hops.

Sure, Mitch would've thrived with Nash. Hell yes

and yes Mitch is a rare cat with super reflexes and nimble feet

Have I agreed with you enough yet? Just checking

i didn't think this was combative

Nah. Just riffing

To be fair to Fiz, we didn’t defend the three well under the previous 4 coaches either.

... And just like those coaches, Fiz should be fired.

Low key stat for me:

Mitch did not commit one foul

Mitch is our best player, and RJ is our future best player. RJ hasn't been coming out hot, but he definitely knows how to close games. And Mitch is just awesome. Praise be.
BaF Lakers:

Darius Garland/Cory Joseph
Klay Thompson/Shaedon Sharpe
Keldon Johnson/De'Andre Hunter
Evan Mobley/Tari Eason
Nic Claxton/Draymond Green

Bench: Leonard Miller, Jett Howard, Markquis Nowell, Kennedy Chandler, Day'Ron Sharpe

The entire Knicks team should beat the brakes off of Fizdale.

Anyone who depends on a job for their well being will be fake when it comes to keeping that job. The lone exception is Walt Clyde...but he's Clyde :D

To Fitz, its more important to get Randle right then to win games

He's giving Randle too much freedom.

I'm not gonna go there with dsj. Imma give him the same patience I gave Frank. I'm looking at Portis who really made some bone headed plays on defense and just piss poor effort. Not jumping for boards? Come on bro. You 6'11. WTF is your purpose?

His purpose is to bring honor to eye whites everywhere

I can't with portis and and Randle anymore. I've reached my limit

I wonder how pissed players are at randle in the locker room.
Time and time again they see this guy making terrible plays and putting his head down. Feel like this at the end prolly pisser people off

That final play was annoying (especially with him putting Ellington in), but I’m honestly more mad about what Randle forcing up a terrible shot on our previous possession — when we had the ball and a 2 point lead. A bucket there and a 3 from Charlotte wouldn’t have mattered.

Yep that is the silver lining here. You add Cole Anthony or one of those other studs and that will be one nasty trio for the next decade.

the team itself thinks they're supposed to give randle the ball at the end of the game. they know he's the supposed 1st option and so they do. but little by little i see them looking him off more and more. they notice what we notice. these end of the game f*ck ups are only gonna make that feeling of distrust grow.

That is why I would instruct my big to be connected so that frank knows he has help if he is going to get screened.

they will improve with experience.

randle positives just because i like to be contrarian

minutes reduced to 25 mins
he was +4 - only frank (+4) was as high and Knox (+5) better.
6 assists just 1 turnover (charge at the end of the half), didn't have any other really bad spin move bumbling turnovers like usual
assist on the RJ 3 and then scored 3 clutch baskets in a row before the miss at the end

Return to New York Knicks
