It’s a pair of Eastern Conference teams on the floor in the Big Apple. The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the road as they make the trip to face the New York Knicks Monday night. Cleveland was at home Sunday afternoon as they took on the 76ers for the second time this week: they suffered a 114-95 loss. New York was edged 103-102 at home by Charlotte in their previous contest on Saturday night. The Knicks own a 111-99 advantage in the all-time regular-season series but the Cavaliers have won the last four meetings, including a 108-87 road win in the first matchup this season on November 10.

The Cavaliers are 25th in the league in scoring this season with 105.3 points per game. Cleveland is 17th in rebounding with 45.5 caroms a night while the team stands 28th with 20.2 assists per contest. The Cavaliers are above average defensively, ranking tied for 9th in scoring defense by allowing 107.1 points per game. Kevin Love leads the team with 18.7 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest this year. Collin Sexton (18.4 points), Tristan Thompson (15.2 points, 10.6 rebounds) and Jordan Clarkson (14.7 points) are scoring in double figures on the year. Larry Nance Jr. (9.5 points, seven rebounds), Cedi Osman, Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. all have to step up on the offensive end of the floor. Cleveland is 25th in the league by shooting 43.5 percent from the field. The Cavaliers are 24th in the league in made threes with 9.8 triples a night while ranking 26th in three-point shooting by shooting 31.8 percent from downtown.

The Knicks enter this game 30th in the league in scoring offense with 100.2 points per game on the year. New York is 10th in the league in rebounding with 46.6 boards a night while ranking 27th by dishing out 20.4 assists per contest this year. The Knicks are 13th in scoring defense by allowing 109.2 points per game this season. Rookie RJ Barrett is second on the team with 15.8 points plus 5.8 rebounds per contest on the year. Julius Randle (15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds), Marcus Morris Sr. (team-high 18.2 points, 5.9 rebounds), Kevin Knox II (9.3 points), Bobby Portis (9.6 points, 7.1 rebounds) and Mitchell Robinson (11.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 blocks) are performing well in the new-look rotation for the Knicks this season. New York is 29th in the league in field goal percentage as they shoot 42.2 percent from the floor as a team. The Knicks are tied for 19th in threes per game as they knock down 10.4 triples per game while the team stands 11th in three-point shooting as they connect on 35.8 percent of their attempts from beyond the arc.

These are guaranteed - Randle turnover or Ntilikina missed open shot, Garland or Sexton at the buzzer.

The most remarkable thing about tonight’s game is it’ll be the cheapest ticket thus far this year — $40-50 nosebleeds or $75-90 lower bowl (with fees) if you keep refreshing TicketMaster, StubHub, etc.

I wouldn't go even for free and shame on fans who keep going to games, yet want the FO gone. That never made sense to me.

Trap game.

Wouldn't pencil this in as an L just yet. Cleveland's tank has been gaining strength as the season wears on.

They have to keep Sexton from getting into the paint whenever he likes. I'd like to see more man to man defense on Sexton and Garland and less switching when it comes to those 2 guys. I'd put Frank on Sexton and RJ on Garland.

yeah. we almost won the other night and the hornets are better than the cavs. he limited randle & portis minutes last game, he does that again and mitch doesn't step on someone's foot and this might be a w.

No Love or Nance tonight either. If Knicks lose this might be Fiz last game.
