The start:
Both teams took a voluntary 24 second violation.

The end:

The Knicks took a voluntary 24 second violation with 36 seconds left to go.
The Nets refused to shoot when they got the ball for the last 11 seconds of the game.

Players on both sides hugged on the court. The crowd chanted, "Kobe."

Tears fell.

Of the first seven posts, only one actually discussed the game. This is how much Kobe meant - Knicks fans care more about him than the game.

Way more ,my brother lived near him in Irvine, said he used to see him at Crispy cream with the family a lot. Said he seemed like a cool down to earth dude, always gave my brother a the head nod..

It must be really challenging to play in this game when there is so much emotion flowing. And agree with above poster that basketball god would be angry if we tank today.

To define how great a person is, just watch his/her impact on the game and people around the world.
