He got shot in his back, the tazer was out of ammo. How was he a threat to the officers life?

Dylann Roof was taken by the cops to Burger King for a bite to eat after he massacred all those black churchgoers in South Carolina. The the cops have fcked up a lot of white dudes too. Yes, even I was falsely arrested by the police in a silly non-incident that resembles all of these. I got gang-tackled to the ground by two cops. The one cop could've easily said "He's going for my gun! He's going for my gun!" and I'd be dead. But he did try to pin a felony assault on police on me (that's state time if convicted). Would it have been worse if I had been black? I don't know. Maybe. But to me, this was more about police being intoxicated on blue power, the power to take possession of you and the power to take your life. Most of these idiots are not very bright. Many didn't have it in them to go to college. The ones that chose the profession to help the community are quickly disillusioned.

By the way, I don't know if you've seen the video(s) of Timpa's mother. The poor woman is so distraught and broken over this. I couldn't watch it. The poor kid just asked for help.

The guy in the Chicago vid was white but either on drugs or had mental issues. Since we don't know what happened off camera, can't call it one way or another as the guy was huge and seemed like Rasputin after they pepper sprayed him, he threw the 2 cops (one white female, one black guy) off like rag dolls. Were they too ashamed to call for backup?

I think a lot of this goes back to Regan letting drug and mental patients out into the streets to homelessness and addiction/survival mode. And add in right-wing radio.

And ultimately it all comes down to capitalism for the poor, socialism for the rich.

CLARIFICATION

I need to clarify/correct my prior statement. Roof was taken into custody by police after being on the run for 18 hours and had not eaten during that time. After he was apprehended, he was brought back and placed in a holding cell. During interrogation he asked for food and they got him the Burger King. Also, he was apprehended very nicely by the police. After they surrounded Roof's vehicle, the holstered their guns and gently escorted him out of his vehicle and into theirs. He certainly wasn't treated like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks and so many others.

Its a cultrual problem at the institutional lvl. There needs to be wide reforms/replacments especially at the police academy lvl.

As i tell people:yes there are those who are taking advantage of the situation for their own interests. However there wouldnt be a sitation had we as a nation addressed this issue decades ago.

Black people get it the worst but i have seen my friends from trailer parks be treated with so much disgust/disrespect by the police. This must change.

If a city/community wants to disband the police who are we to stop them? Its their community and they take the risks.

I see areas breaking away and/or wealth flight. Who knows?
