Bad cops suck. As a society we are forced to put a lot of trust in them so when they violate it I get angry.

We'll allow to bust that union and you can knock yourselves out. Have a blast!

from a lot of posts we obviously see differently on a lot of political issues and I won't make this political even though I have strong feelings about what party has been running NY for a while in this case. But we are 100% aligned here!

I think i said this earlier in this thread. Police Unions are a big part of the problem. They have way too much power to supress information and keep the awful cops in there jobs because of there power. These cops need to be fired before they have an incident where its not just a allegtation it could result in a sensless death which is why this thread was created in the first place. The cop who I won't even give the time of day that murdered George Floyd should have been fired well before him kneeling on his neck. If it wasn't for his union, police force, or elected officials in Minnespolis keeping this guy in a job that he clearly had no business in having.

Honestly, I feel all closed cases and allegations should be public knowledge. We pay for the govenments protection through our tax dollars there should nothing for them to hide from tax paying citizens. Every police on active duty should be required to have a body cam on at all times the minute they are on duty no matter what. That way every situation can be properally assessed. I would even go as far as having a 3rd party review all of these videos or any video that a complaint or alligation was made and have it go through the proper channels.

Here’s a bombshell report. This is fascism at its finest and all parties who knew about this should be in serious legal trouble.

The NYPD Can See Millions Of Arrest Records That Were Supposed To Be Sealed

The New York City Police Department digitally warehoused more than 6.9 million sealed arrest records, new documents exclusively obtained by HuffPost show.

For over 40 years, it has been illegal for police in New York state to access a person’s sealed arrest records. Details of arrests of people who were charged but not convicted or whose cases were dismissed ― as well as juveniles or people who completed drug treatment programs or committed noncriminal offenses ― aren’t supposed to influence law enforcement in any way should police encounter those people again.

But new court documents obtained by HuffPost show that the New York City Police Department has been breaking that law for years, on a massive scale that has been previously unreported.

According to the documents, the NYPD has digitally warehoused more than 6.9 million sealed arrest records of more than 3.5 million New Yorkers. Worse, every cop on the street has instant access to those records through their smartphones.

The court documents are part of a 2018 class-action lawsuit against the NYPD. That lawsuit alleges the police department has violated the state law, which is supposed to protect people from being harassed by police based strictly on past interactions — a matter that primarily affects Black people and other people of color.

The revelations are particularly explosive and damaging for the NYPD in light of the anti-racist protests that have occurred nationwide following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Instead of destroying or returning arrest records to the accused if a case is terminated in their favor, as is required by law, the NYPD admitted it has kept millions of them. The filing revealed that sealed records are housed inside the department’s Domain Awareness System, or DAS, a vast system of databases developed by the police department and Microsoft that is installed on each officer’s phone for easy access.

I have serious questions about who is doing these shootings. In Philadelphia, on one night, there were a bunch of shootings where the victims were all shot in the legs. In both North Philly and South Philly. They appeared to me, at first glance, to be coordinated.

Heads of police unions also get paid by the Police Department. I did not know this.

Police were warning that these white supremacist groups were infiltrating the protests? Warning who exactly? Please. Police officers are already in these groups. I wouldn't be shocked if we later learned that there was prior knowledge and/or coordination.

Police problems are not just racism, but sheer stupidity. On what fcking planet does anyone need to subjugate a family like this? It's criminally stupid. So offensive, my blood is boiling. The police forces should mandate IQ tests from now on. These people are too stupid to be given these kinds of powers

This article details some of the friendly relationships and allegiances between the police, the Trump administration with some of the types of violent armed groups on the right who if they were black or 'left' would be called terrorists. This isn't a complete list of the incidents I have been coming across all along but it hits some of the notable ones.
