RJ Barrett or Mitchell Robinson
If you had to choose who’d you like to keep and who you would trade, who would you choose? Who is a better player? I personally want to keep both of them, but I’m curious to see who we would keep I. This scenario.

Re: RJ Barrett or Mitchell Robinson
damn good question. i went with RJ because i think you'd have an easier time finding another player to do what mitch does, even if not as talented as mitch. RJ seems to have a higher ceiling and i believe in his mentality. i think he won't be outworked on his quest for greatness. if his shot comes together he's already a problem.

I know it’s a good question that’s been on my mind for awhile. I honestly believe Mitch is a better player right now. RJ needs to find himself. He doesn’t have a go to move or anything he does exceptionally well. Mitch fg percentage and blocking ability are off the charts for just a little over 20 minutes per game.

Keep RJ. This team needs top-end talent. Mitch even if he reaches his ultimate ceiling (and thats a big if) is still not the player you want to build around.

Re: RJ Barrett or Mitchell Robinson
Mitch is the type of player that anchors a championship teams defense.
I'm still unsure about RJ, he showed great flashes but had his lows too which made me wonder what his game can become in this league.

RJB - higher ceiling, he also seems to have a determination about him where I think he can reach his potential

I'll go with RJ as well. Mitch doesn't seem to have the same love for the game.

Re: RJ Barrett or Mitchell Robinson
Neither of them show the least signs of being able to shoot. RJ has a so-so drive with his left hand and nothing else. Weak defence. Mitch can catch on O and rebound on D. And blocks 3-pt shots like no one else ever has. How is this even a question? It's obviously keep Mitch.
Now if the original question was between Mitch and Frank ... well ..

Re: RJ Barrett or Mitchell Robinson
IDK really... On the one hand, you have Mitch elder by a year, right? It took him all of the previous season to get to where he is today. Judging by that trajectory, you could have an elite shot blocker who shoots at an elite rate around the rim... Although he showed glimpses, he put in work.
On the other hand, you have RJ, who has an undying hunger, and who comes with certain skill sets. Would you give him at least some of next season to see how he develops in order to have a better comparison?
I'm just glad the FO doesn't necessarily have to trade either right now, and can keep them growing together.
That said, I think I would stay with Mitch. It would be easier to find an already established player to replace RJ, that can play better than it would be the other way around.
Though, based on their contacts, you would probably have to resign Mitch to a big contract sooner than you would RJ.
Definitely a great question, though I hope it doesn't become our gallo/Will type of focus.

I really like Mitchell but his trajectory right now is following Javale Mcgee. I'm inclined to keep him, but if the Knicks aren't ready when his contract is expiring, I'd probably trade him for assets.

RJ and it's not even close.
Mitch is a good young player but defending rim rollers aren't really that important in the NBA right now, look at what Capella was traded for.

I'd have to keep RJ. We all love Mitch but in today's NBA he's simply not as valuable of a player as he should be based on how the game is played. I'm not overly excited about RJ's ceiling but you'd have to see what you have in a guy who has the potential to be a perimeter playmaker.

i really hope we have some more time to see both Robinson and Barrett grow before being confronted with this decision. as of now, i'm inclined to think RJ's a more relevant piece to a ring, but that's only if he reaches his potential, and i've seen Mitch wetting 3's in the gym
