I don’t care for Knox either but Berman has never been right on anything before. His sources suck. Plus there hasn’t been any leaks yet under Leon Rose. So far it’s all speculation

Yah, it'd be a bigger problem if he was sold...

Anyway, I think the Knox pick really encapsulates the arrogance of the Mills, Perry and Fizdale regime. We had been linked to Mikal a lot (I can give a pass for MPJ, but I wonder if Hinkie would have picked him) and it would have been nice to have Mikal next to Mitch and RJ right now, but they really had that much confidence in themselves, and bombed Knox's development. Right now, my hope is that Knox actually toughens up and picks up Mikal's attributes: defense and shooting. He's young so there's hope, but he better get his life in order, cause he's about to get booted out.

Also, we gotta stop elevating the importance of workouts.

You are not going to get much back for Knox. Might as well keep him and try to develop him into a bench scorer at least.

I don't think Berman has many/any reliable sources. It is a pretty good guess though that Rose is not sold on Knox, it would be odd if he was sold on him.

I would be off the Rose bandwagon if he was sold on one of the bottom 5 players in the NBA http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/page/13

The list of players he is sold ON should be pretty short.

The article was actually a lot more positive then negative. Even the headline was:

Knicks’ Kevin Knox can thrive with new coach: UK assistant

Not that Knox won't be traded, but it sounds more like they want to give him more time to see what they have in him. Rose is well connected to Kentucky and everyone at Kentucky is vouching for Knox which might hold some weight.

Rookie president Leon Rose, who has not spoken to the media since his hiring, is not sold on Knox and desperately wanted to see him in the now-scrapped final 16 games, sources told The Post.
