Yeah. There was just really no way to stop him. Had to take the dunk away. And that didn't help much either.

Pat Ewing deserves a mention here.

I dont think anyone can top Kareem he effectively won 4 titles, he was the best player as a freshmen which Freshman were ineligible. I hated Laettner but no denying how clutch he was, went to 4 final fours, he hit buzzer beating shots in the elite 8 twice, his team was down by 1 on both those shots btw.

Im a bit of a homer but for a single year from start to finish ill say Kemba Walker in 2010-11, winning 5 big east tournament games in a row then running the table in the NCAA tournament. Never coming out any games for a breather (hardly ever). Doing it with Freshmen who weren't Mcdonalds all americans, granted 2 of those Freshmen were Jeremy Lamb and Shabazz Napier. No way does Shabazz pull of his Championship run in 2013-14, if hes not a part of the 2011 team, he was essentially the HC on that team with Calhoun gone, as we found out Kevin Ollie couldn't win with his own recruits.

It is the Pistol, averaging 44.2/game for a season without the 3 point line, insane. A lot of his jumpers came from deep.

It's Kareem and then everyone else. I don't think it's hyperbole to say it's an insult to Kareem's collegiate accomplishments to ask the question of if anyone else is on his level. We can debate who the second best is but there's no conversation when it comes to the top spot.
