He might be a good get for us at 27

Right.. I think he is one of the few guys left that would project as a starter if he pans out.

you see him being able to hold up in terms of being able to defend his position?

I'm not even sure if he projects as a starter but still might at least be a good backup PG

Ramsey is going to make a team very happy.

He needs major work on his handle and iso game, but I sure as hell buy the shot, the athlete, and the b-ball IQ.

I went with Wooten, I mean Reed here. Looks like has a chance to develop into a nice energy big off the bench.

The next round, I'd like to propose adding Grant Riller into the mix. Small school with weak competition, but a very nice well developed offensive game. Could be a Dillon Brooks type find.

Right just going by the Stephien "best case" scenario, and they could be wrong..but most of the dudes left here dont even project as starters in a best case scenario - again according to them.

Dont know but apparently he's not too far off from being average in that department:

https://www.thestepien.com/2020/02/03/nico-mannion-scouting-report/

Defensive Summary:

Quick, light feet on the perimeter (although occasionally gets caught on heels). Has exceeded expectations with his PoA defense in college

Lack of strength and length hurts his defensive versatility
Struggles to contest shots on spot ups because lack of length. Doesn’t lose his man often but sometimes sags off just a bit too much. As stated before, does a good job at beating man to spot if they drive off spot ups

Doesn’t try to to deny use of pick and rolls and Arizona has been hedging, trapping, switching a lot of ball screens this year where he isn’t asked to fight over the screen.

Tough to expect above average defense against most starting guards but

Smart defender with good awareness. Knows how to position himself and can jump passing lanes, but once again, lack of length hurts

Kind of a mixed bag ..something Id gladly take when you factor in his positives at 27. At 27 Im looking for gems or just underatted/overlooked types . He just may fit the bill. I like his confidence andit looks like he is a versatile gamer...like Hayes.

He moves pretty well laterally. Nico is actually a pretty high IQ defender. He just is sooooooooo weak. Big guards just bully him. Also his arms are short as ****, so if he's not a 100% locked in your jersey, it will be pretty easy to get a shot over him. Has a knack for drawing charges and knowing where his opponent is going with the ball. Overall I see him becoming, at best, an average on ball defender who is annoying (not overtly difficult, but just a bother) to get around, and good, high IQ team defender.

If u want a pg at 27 - and he's left - no brainer trey Jones. Good D and good passer. Projects better than Mannion.
