Older article but I also think it helps to explain what you’re seeing in the white electorate that changed before. Like I always reiterate, it’s all a turnout game in elections. When Democrats lose, it’s not because they don’t have the numbers, it’s because they didn’t show up. The biggest revelation from this is that there is no such thing as swing voter or actually it’s a smaller portion of the electorate with an outside influence.

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/02/06/rachel-bitecofer-profile-election-forecasting-new-theory-108944

Bitecofer’s theory, when you boil it down, is that modern American elections are rarely shaped by voters changing their minds, but rather by shifts in who decides to vote in the first place. To her critics, she’s an extreme apostle of the old saw that “turnout explains everything,” taking a long victory lap after getting lucky one time. She sees things slightly differently: That the last few elections show that American politics really has changed, and other experts have been slow to process what it means.

Just like Russia clearing out the competition for its elections. And it wasn't 60k votes, it was 49k. Gary Johnson also got

Gary Johnson received 147k votes.

"Independents" collectively got 51k

Darrell Castle received 21k

And what about all of the Democratic voters who didn't bother to vote because they thought Hillary was a lousy candidate? Stop looking for scapegoats. Is how you envision your America?

What?

I certainly support an America where as many votes are counted as possible.

I don't know what you're crying about.

I also think third party candidates are a waste of time and nobody should be allowed to win without at least 50.01% of the vote, but that's neither here nor there.

Hilarious coming from Wingo who makes up all type of excuses for why Bernie can’t win a primary, except for the candidate himself.

Anyways as far as third parties go they’re an entirely masterbatory exercise during Presidential Elections. They’re a wasted vote. I don’t know why they don’t focus on local elections and build an actual base. Hell there’s already supposedly a “Libertarian” Senator from Kentucky in the Senate. If people are truly tired of the two party system like they claim, third parties should be able to get some wins at the local levels which they can use to build momentum into the congressional level and hopefully statewide. But nooo instead you have morons like Jill Stein poisoning the well against Clinton.

Well, turns out Joe Biden dancing to "Despacito" is a hit. It's trending no. 15 on YouTube.

But I would hardly call this "dancing." Jesus. I'd say it's more like "slightly swaying."

FBI Director Chris Wray testified in Congress yesterday.

According to The NY Times:

Racially motivated violent extremism,” mostly from white supremacists, has made up a majority of domestic terrorism threats, Mr. Wray told the House Homeland Security Committee. He also echoed an intelligence community assessment last month that Russia was conducting a “very active” campaign to spread disinformation and interfere in the presidential election, with Mr. Biden as the primary target.

Can’t we just kick them out of the club?

Anyhow, you’ll like this. According to Mary Trump, the two ways Biden can get under Trumps skin during the debates:

1. Call him “Donald”

2. Interrupt and call out all of his lies in real time.

Gotta get the people down to Capitol Hill between now and Inauguration Day to make our presence felt.

And no protest votes.

R.I.P. RBG you were a tough old bird, great respect for that.

Strictly politically speaking. Who does RGB's passing benefit? Traditionally Conservatives get out to the polls over this issue but RGB is such an icon for Liberals it may be more likely to get them out. Interesting wrench in the dynamic. So many moving pieces this election. One for the ages.

Do the Republicans nominate a justice? Do they nominate one but not move to vet and confirm unless they win the election?
How would that change the dynamic?
