Is it safe to say we won the trade now?

I think so...

depends on who walter perin drafts.

We filled that cap space with King Julius to replace KP essentially. it's been amazingly one sided for the mavericks thus far.

We got rid of salary and got two mid-late first round picks. They got Timmy and Trey who appear to be solid contributors. Timmy looks good next to Luka.

The whole situation was just a mess. The issue is, could we have done better trading with another team and it appears that was the case.

yeah...you're referring to the context and time...I always held that position- that with everything considered-
we did the best we could...However, I think at this point Dallas is stuck with him and his contract-
that would have been us if we would have extended him as some here wanted...

We didn't sign Julius for 5 years though.

Trey Burke was signed by Philly then waived, mavs scooped him up when he was a FA since February anyone could have. Him being on the Mavs now isn't even part of the equation.

Timmy looks great because of coaching and Timmy is talented as a shot maker. The Knicks since Woodson have had no type of system in place rendering guys to just do whatever the f*ck they want. I would say Timmy took a lot of shots on our team but I never saw him as a selfish player.

We got salary relief an un protected pick, a (hopefully) mid round 1st and got two try out another youngster and we dont have out franchise hopes tied to how well porzingis's knees hold up. Id say we did pretty well

I was at a couple of his best performances, namely the 2017 career high 40pt game in the win against the pacers where frank also balled out. That's still his career high and will never be surpassed. And the game in charlotte where he hit the buzzer beater that got waived off in like his 10th career game. Also the game last season when he got ran out of the garden which remains the most fun knicks game I've attended
