George Hill has a 6"10 wing span?

Quickley can easily be a rotation player. Defense, shooting is exactly what we needed.

I wanted RJ Hampton but Knicks playing to change the culture in NY and I don't think we'll be drafting guys with the most potential all the time, however if we didn't take Hampton, Quickley was on my top 5 with the players that were left at 23 and 25.

You just have bad trauma for being a Knicks fan and this is just a trigger response to secure that trauma. Tell yourself he will fail before he disappoints you and gives your hopes up.

Knicks fans say this every draft.

I was one of them.

Immanuel Quickley will be in the NBA for a long time tho.
Check out his scouting video.

It's been so long since we had a young flamethrower. Please let Quickley be the one...

He’s an excellent shooter that can defend with a great wingspan for his size as well. He has a role he can immediately step in and play

Pretty cool that Immanuel's initials are "I.Q.", too. If he's any good we can just call him The Genius or something along those lines.

Even if he comes off the bench, theres room for him in the league. Especially if he's even alright at defense. I might not have liked the pick but the knicks needed spacing and he easily provides that

How about you watch him play as a Knick for more than a hot minute before you react?

Last season you went completely savage on RJ after two summer league games just because you wanted to stake a position, not because you knew what you were talking about. You need to give these guys a chance to get acclimated against NBA competition before you start making these kinds of declarations

Frank is a defensive specialist so while he's now expendable, he's still usable. Randle on the other hand, has to be gone.

I like this kid. He’s got tools. A very anti-Knox pick...this type of player can play with almost any 1st option in this league. Only issue was opportunity cost but I guess this is who Payne was advocating for.

George Hill is a point guard though. I can't say I know enough about Quickley. Normally I hate undersized SGs but if Im gonna be honest with myself, I had no issue with us taking Tyrese Maxey and both are combo guards. I'll just put my faith in Kenny. There were just so many other guys I was thinking about than to trade into pick 23 to grab a guy I thought wasn't gonna be drafted until the 40s.

And then to trade pick 33 for a future second? What value did that give us. Its not like we traded pick 40 and hopefully in 2023 it ends up pick 31. We already had pick 33. Could've grabbed this Quickly kid and still landed Bane or even an actual real PG at 33.

I love this pick for the Knicks. Quickley reminds me a lot of Jason Terry. He'll never be an all-star but he could become a high level role player, 6th-8th man type who has a long career.
