because 98% of them bust out of the nba

I definitely think development is an issue. Very few teams seem to develop players beyond the very basics.

Macri wrote an article about the success rate of 2nd rounders (can't seem to find it unfortunately). basically picks 30-45ish are ok/solid, but beyond that it's pretty bad

NBA rosters allow for the least number of players. NBA rotations has the least number of players. NBA teams more than any other professional team sport, rely on a small number of players in that rotation to carry the bulk of the load. At any given time the NBA allows the least number of player to play at the same time.

I get that. But it’s just five fewer players per roster compared to the NHL. And so many more people globally play basketball than ice hockey. Still seem out of whack.

I guess my point is, if we can find and develop players, talent should be out there.

Looking forward to seeing my boy Tubelis wreak havoc for Arizona at the center position. :)

A long, arduous thread that itself is separate from basketball. Culminated by either the disappointment of the lottery results, or a difference in opinion between the team and the serious Youtube scouts.

IQ off the charts.. big rangy point guard 6'7" great body control.. great poise with the ball.. Top shelf playmaker and passer... can finish.. shooting is getting better. Handle needs a little more work.. jumper some refining. But he's everything Knicks fans have always wanted. Whatever team he goes to will be fasttracked for the playoffs and contention IF that team has a few good auxiliary pieces for a PG.. like Toppin Robinson and Barrett. You know who I'm talking about.

Looking forward to hyping up the top picks all year only for us to end with the 4th worst record and drop to 7.

Next draft is supposed to go ten deep at least with potential allstars....so it wont matter.

Come on kdot. Let's turn that attitude around. It can't hurt.

Jalen Johnson from Duke is another guy I like. 6’9 point forward
