As always, the fringe right will push for executions by the government when they don’t get their way.

I don’t wish death upon anyone, but the world will be better off without ppl like this

As I said before, there should be legislation that penalizes these kinds of statements as acts of sedition. Several of them, Bannon being one of them, have called for public officials to be executed or assassinated. This should not be swept under the rug. I'm hoping the incoming AG takes action and indicts these people for making public threats.

It is all a big joke for some reason, like let's just laugh it all off because a coup isn't likely to happen. What Louie Goober and Trump are asking Pence to do, what they've been doing al along, it is remarkable rebellion against this republic coming from within. We have been frogs slowly boiled in water. How they have not been thrown out of office yet is amazing, but how there is not loud calls from opposition and patriotic GOP goverment officials for their ouster at least is hard to reconcile. I love Nancy Pelosi as a basic functioning cog in the government, but if the tables were turned and Obama or Hillary were engineering this stuff, there really would be pitchforks and torches in front of the WH and the GOP would be non stop on fire for arrest, and they wouldn't be just playing this time. Democrats are sooooo laid back, and I kind of hate it. Maybe there are quantum math political angles I have no clue about. The people in those purple states hesitant to vote for Dems are the ones that might appreciate a liiiittle more passion out of opposition leadership. If Dems don't start capturing people's hearts instead of angling for their minds, they will keep falling 2 steps behind for every one step forward. The rebels have 2 and 1/2 cable networks now.

I always thought it was Louis Gomer ... Shazam!

So what do you think about the Dems backing down and voting for the Defense Budget Bill? I understand that there are some good things in it. That said, we just lost all leverage - again - for the $2,000 checks.

Trump is using him and Patrick Byrne (out here posting 4chan theories) to spread disinformation and cloud his opponents in the fog of war therefore less able to see what he's really up to.

you are partially correct the thing trump is doing is border line illegal definitely unethical and how anyone can support is beyond sound reasoning skills.
The ting is the is America he is supposed to lead for all and his opponents are Americans Trump is doing a is piss poor job at the one thing he should be doing which is leading the country for all instead another minority was shot while unarmed in Ohio and nothing si said.
The right has no moral high ground lets review
disenfranchise voters because they lost
minorities being shot all the while stirring up his white base with lies. Just listen to what they are saying in GA packing the courts the right did that not wanting to negotiate the right again look no further the McConnel.
The right has a long way to go before they can claim anything about law and order or being on the right side of justice or history and the people that support this need to take a long hard look in the mirror before they ever utter a word about this again

these items need to be separate, the defense bill and the one item i think it is 230 need to stay in play. let Moscow mitch try to bring it up in a group bill and it should and rightly be shot down for the simple fact that one item does not tie to defense but to trump running his lies in twitter. I think anything people write in twitter which is a lie that they should be held liable for the damage they have done.

Once the Biden comes into office the checks will go out in some form but they will be late for many Americans that need the help now not tomorrow. Again the right has failed the average american, if you are making less then 75 k then yes you need help in this economy even if it just spurs spending among those that do not need the help it helps everyone and that is what the right misses

After this charade, I'd like to see legislation that clearly defines these activities as within the scope of sedition and with serious penalties

I think the people that support this need to be examined by professionals and see what their motivation is.

Great news here. Democratic Socialist, Lee Carter, is running for Governor of Virginia. He’s a state House member who won in a deep red part of the state!

So I just found out from my sister that her **** MAGA husband, a FDNY Lt., has tested positive for COVID. My sister and my niece were over the house for NYE. I live with my 98 year dad and my 90 year old mom who has immunity deficiencies. If either one of them get it, I'm gonna kill this POS.

I understand that, but is he not wearing his mask or might he have contracted it at work?

All our actions have consequences and what's more, our motives - for better or worse - reveal themselves everywhere in life. This is not a believe in God type of sentiment, but no one gets away with a habit so full of sht.

Look at Trump for a prominent example, he's so full of sht, he should have never gone on record and revealed his face to the world in that position to begin with. He was probably fine while flying under the radar (somewhat I guess). But greed drove his every move and now he's screwed.

Hopefully your parents are all right. It’s crazy that they were needlessly exposed to Covid.

Hope not, that sucks. MAGA people don't believe Covid is dangerous. I stand ten feet away from them because I figure their lack of concern makes them the prime network of viable carriers. I see people every day who go into stores that have signs requiring masks go in without a mask. A million could die and they would still say it is just not worth worrying about. I'm numb to their indifference, but I had one going on about how covid is BS trying to get into my face about it. When they disrespect our right to be careful about our own health, they cross the line

I’m sorry Wingo. I hope it doesn’t happen and you have more time with your parents.

These pieces of **** are so desperate to cling to their MAGAland bubble of willful ignorance and don’t given a damn that there are real casualties.

I mean, this severity, boldness and recklessness are new while in both, their vigor and criminal force, they are very surprising - even unsettling. I thought we had seen rock bottom with Bush and I thought Romney a villain. Boy, was I wrong and I'm surprised.

There was really no leverage. All of this was going to end predictably, Mitch McConnell would never let a clean vote on the $2,000 checks even make the floor in the Senate. The only reason Bernie filibustered was to keep Perdue and Loeffler from campaigning over the weekend. And it was the right thing to do, in my opinion every single Democrat should have been focused on those two Senate seats the last two months and nothing else.

Democrats won the messaging battle with the $2,000 dollar checks. Bernie, Warrren, Booker etc. got to keep their Progressive street cred by voting against the NDAA. I’ll tell you this holding that up would have been not only bad for politics it would have just been malfeasance. The 2,000 and NDAA have nothing to do with each other. I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t authorized over the weekend then Congress would have needed to start over again on Jan 20th. Just like the government shutdown you’re screwing working people ( no not just defence contractors) for something that had less than zero chance of even coming to the floor. The whole point was gain leverage with the Senate race. McConnell played it badly
