It’s looking like we should’ve gotten Haliburton or Maxey

Haliburton is basically what Lonzo's supposed to be

But don't worry, we got Obi "BPA, but really he's not better, but the fact that he's not as good as the guys taken after him is fine for some reason" Toppin.

Group think and wishful thinking on this forum is pretty serious. All it takes is for the FO to leak their pick (Knox, Frank, or Obi) and people will fall behind.

I respect that. I’m taking a nice big L on Randle, but in all fairness, it ain’t because he’s in the right role. It’s because the guy legit started playing d and hitting 3s as the 1st option.

Yes I deal with that a lot on here..... With that said the Knicks need to trade Randle. That’s not the popular opinion, but it’s the right one.

Especially after yesterday

We probably would have drafted Hayes so there’s that.

IDK what that comment means exactly (groupthink, fall behind?)--but KnicksThink sure seems to fall behind a lot. It didn't take Jerry West or Red Aurbach to understand that it's sub-optimal to draft a 23 year old PF when your highest paid (and best, for now) player is an unmoveable 26 year old PF.

In typical Dolan-Knicks fashion, they spent a mid-level lotto pick (not a high lotto pick because they don't try for those) on a player who'd be stashed behind a veteran with the same role. I really like Toppin as a prospect, a player, a person, and a New Yorker--but it was an idiotic pick if you're also committed to featuring Julius Randle. Either trade Randle or just take the f*cking PG prospect, you morons! Pick a damn direction. Instead it's just more of the same fake hustle "rebuild" while simultaneously trying to "win now" on the backs of low-ceiling vets.

But don't worry! Brilliant KnicksThink will have us drafting in the 6-10 range yet again next draft. Talk about falling behind.

I was wrong on Lamelo apparently, but we'll see. With Randle, I think the jury is still out. It doesn't look like a fluke anymore, but would you dare to build around him after what we saw last season?

if it was easy more people would be really good at it. Projecting prospects is very hard especially with limited resources and behind a computer...you kinda just try to find things you like and think will be translatable as a basketball player.

another strategy is to like every prospect and think they have star potential so that you can say you were right

I like the “GreenArrow” strategy. Flip flop on every single prospect every day so nobody can say you were wrong.

No. Detroit would still have drafted him earlier. Our options would be Kira, Maxey, Hali or Deni.

I would vote Deni at the time.

So Rockets were offered Simmons, Thybulle, and picks and said no?

they're basically banking on 1 or more of those Nets picks being good. didn't like that they moved LeVert for Dipo
