This is why you can't rebuild in NY. It isn't a short process. And since we don't develop well it's an issue.

you have to draft someone good once in awhile to rebuild succesfully. we have 5 top 10 picks on this team including dennis and none of them are really sh*t.

We're in the AAU era. None of these kids are good out the box.

I’ve been pro Thibs, but this is somewhat concerning.

I mean there was a little confusion I saw offensively when he was in when they were trying to get into the sets. But he looked mobile when moving around on defense

This is not the first drafting team to draft a ton of guys who don’t move the needle. Did we miss the Clippers from 1990-2005? Or what about the Bobcats?

The Knicks are not entitled to good luck. The Nets have drafted like 3 good players in their entire history lol.

I think RJ has the chops. There are literally dozens of nothing much players for every Luka or Donovan.

IQ was good tonight, Mitch was very good, Knox looks like he’s improving and even RJ put a good quarter together. Can’t watch anymore for wins, just watch to see some improvement for some players

Yeah pretty much need to temper expectations of this team being any good, any time, and focus on lurching in the lottery like perennial bottom feeders. We can also forget about talking proudly about our team or defending it from being attacked by rival fans. That's the ticket they're selling us year after year. And I think they get away with it because we have an endless supply of tank commanders for fans.

You have to build a team and jettison the Elfrids and even the Randles who never has won anything and prolly won’t because he lacks certain things.

I think clearing out fake players is a big Bigger part of team building than a lot, including getting a lucky draft. I get that Randle is the latest shiny thing ... he is a bum.

When rebuilding, you got to enjoy the brief shining moments the kids give you and hope they aren’t the exception. It’s not just about tanking.

4 games ago RJB had a monster outing. Everyone was riding high. 4 bad games in a row and they’re screaming he’s a bust, let’s trade him. Not 10 games. Not even 5 games. 4 games.

He started 0-5, the frenzy was on. He finished 7-15 20 pts with 5 rebs 3 asts.

we needed him to be more than just another guy and it's most likely heading that way. i don't think obi is that either so we're back at square one.

there are. and luck is a big factor. but good teams still seem to find those guys more often than we do.
