2020 Presidential Election Thread: Inauguration Day

Post#1 » by Jeff Van Gully » Wed Jan 20, 2021 1:19 pm

this might be the finale, but i feel the inauguration day itself deserves its own thread.

plus, the last aftermath thread was close to 100 pages. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2035053

In 3 and half hours your national nightmare will be over. It’s been a hell of a ride interacting and debating with you guys over the last year. Thank God sanity and decency is restored to the Presidency but the hard work is only just beginning.

Sincerely from the rest of the world thanks for getting rid of Donald Trump and keep fight.

Now don’t ever let what happened the past 4 years happen again

"First to call" as in you want recognition for predicting it was perhaps not the best way to express this. Here, I will fix it

Can we keep this thread positive? Nihilism doesn’t make you smart or enlightened. After all the pain in that the country has gone through in 4 years, today’s a small ray of sunshine.

The best news was simply watching over 300 pounds of toxic waste leave the White House for the last time. Of all of the disgusting things that happened over the past four years, that colon cleanse has to feel good for the building.

It’s hilarious b/c they would always play this at his rallies too. They really think he’s a man of the people. He wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire. Lemmings

Today I’m reminded of our annual lunch to celebrate the winner of the March madness pool back in 2016. I was telling one of the partners that he could actually win, since his obnoxious approach emphasized xenophobia and bigotry.

They said no way would the RNC let him win.

Now, we have millions who are so deep in the cult that they have zero faith in the basic tenets of our democracy and are looking to start a war over it.

He should be exiled off this planet along with many of his die hard political allies who refused to hold him accountable

Today is also the day that New York State goes to work on Trump with a blowtorch and a pair of pliers.

I hope he forms his 3rd party and cripples the republican party for the next 4-8 years. Maybe it'll force them to get their head out of their collective asses (the party apparatus). The democrats have their own issues, which hopefully they address as well.
