Re: KP on the trading block
Let's do it! Bring back KP. We'd have a monster front court with Randle and Mitch. Then, if we could just get a PG, we might be getting somewhere.
All jokes aside, I know KP would rather jump off a bridge than come back.

Not sure this part is a thing
But this guy is also a Mavs writer so maybe he’s deflecting
But he also goes in on KP a lot so maybe he’s not

If I was a team and I really wasn’t going to trade him, I’d be laughing about it. This seems more like damage control to stop the value from plummeting

I'd also cite a total lack of KPs explosive put backs off offensive rebounds as a sign that he's regressed physically big time since pre-ACL Knicks days. He was a poor defensive rebounder here but he was a pretty good offensive rebounder and would routinely come in for a smash every couple games.
Hmmm I'm not SURE but I'd have to say those offensive putbacks ended real early. I remember him routinely playing losing volleyball on the offensive boards in his last year.
The best thing you can say about KP is that he's up to 47% overall on 20+ PPG. Not shabby. But probably a result of LD to an extent. He's only 35% from 3. He HAS gotten better inside and off the dribble. Not tons but some.
If KP was a great shooter, it wouldn't matter. But he's a little less than that and he doesn't have any dominant moves.

Low bar?
We have our coach shredding our players knees to 39 minutes a night to crawl to 14-16 and then saying we're "winning".
People on this board think being below .500 in the East is "winning". That's how demolished and downtrodden this franchise is.
yeah, i think that's proof that, at below .500, we consider this franchise to be doing quite well.
not all of us.
some of us are just happy that there's effort, finally.

Anyone recall which Knicks beat writer raked Phil over the coals the most over the Janus/KP trade rumors? Was it SAS?

Julius Randle has as many all-star appearances as KP.
