It’s one thing to suck but why does Elfrid try to shoot? He’s terrible but also brainless and selfish.

point , blank. PERIOD
We need a better point guard but he’s not on the roster. Everyone out there that scores just isolates and that’s on Thibs.
We'd have a better offense just playing Quickley, the threat of his shooting is enough to space the floor for us. The problem is when Payton doesn't have the ball his man is playing free safety and can help pretty much anywhere.
He's the rare NBA player who's aggressively destructive both on and off the ball. It's quite remarkable when you think about it. There isn't a single scenario where he's not hurting the team.
I hate the fact that he's our point guard and the FO/coaching staff treat him like he's an All-Star when he should be playing in China.

What you say is fear, I say is this team is easy to defend late when Payton is on the floor so you are playing 5 on 4 on defense..nba is all about floor balance and spacing, when you don’t have a threat it’s easy to defend hence makes life difficult for everyone during crunch time

That's not how it is. Noel/Taj are the best we have, and we have to live with that. Which is why I don't get on them too much, cause we need a long term solution but there isn't much better we could do right now
The team consistently plays better when he's off. Rose (out today, but still) and Quickley both have us playing better than Elf does. It's not that he's just bad and we have nothing better, it's that we're actively making ourselves worse by playing him. Hell, Burks would be a better option at PG than Elf.

He throws these terrible layups that aren’t close or just loses it without contact. How is he in the NBA?

When I saw that Edwards steal on a headless Payton I already had a strong sense of losing this one.

I think the more people say this to Thibs, the more defensive he gets about his decision to play Payton and the more he gets entrenched in his position.

it's sort of too late though. we need randle to miss the next month and a half somehow to have a shot at a half decent pick.
the schedule is brutal and if thibs continues to rely on elfrid...we will def be barely hanging on to 10th...
the raptors are 11 games under .500. hard to get there.
we could lose in the play-in but most of the teams from 7-10 aren't really better. 1 or 2 games anything can happen.
the bulls have a better shot at 10 then toronto.

Barrett gotta learn about situational awareness. Maybe it's a lot for a 20 year old, but that's the price you pay when you're winning.

He's literally anti-competent.
Incompetent means he's bad, by himself. He actually makes everyone around him worse.

it would be cool if this loss embarrassed thibs enough to change something but we all know it won't
