My second option was 'welcome to the shunderdome' but I think I made the right choice.

The Knicks only need to go 3-4 over the last 7 to get to the improbable at season's start 40 win threshold for the season.

Anyone who predicted this before the season probably would’ve been banned from the board and accused of using bath salts.

So far they are 4-2 for the last 10 game stretch and all the Knicks have to do is 2-2 to get to 40 wins on the season with one game left of the west trip and then 3 at home to finish the season.

40 wins is a real possibility, whodathunkit...

4) Knicks 40-31 ... 0.0 GB
5) Hawks 40-31 ... 0.0 GB
6) Heat 39-31 ... 0.5 GB

Knicks: vs BOS
Hawks: vs HOU
Heat: @ MIL, vs DET

-------

It basically all comes down to Miami-Milwaukee tonight. Do the Bucks play for the win or do they punt? They still have a (slim) chance of catching the Nets for the #2 seed, but they're unlikely to do so. You have to imagine they'd rather face the Knicks than the Heat in the 1st round.

I personally think the Heat, Hawks, Knicks all win out and we end up facing the Bucks in the 3-6 matchup.

Denver, Phoenix, and the two LA games (LeBron will be back) are the games I'd most expect to lose. I'll say we go 3-2 in the "most winnable" set of games and then 1-3 in the tougher set of games. So 39-33 would be my final record prediction.

My most optimistic prediction is 41-31 and most pessimistic is 37-35, so I'll predict the middle of those

looks like I was off with my 5-5 prediction. if we win tomorrow we will have gone 7-3 which was my most optimistic scenario. congrats to the believers

That Clippers game looms so freaking large. Thibs not letting the lakers loss linger is so important. A coach that can get you to flip the page fast is so damn important.

This team doesn't beat themselves. If they lose, that meant the other team was better that day.

The only losses where they beat themselves were the close games they lost. They only got blown out once since the All-Star break, and it was in the 1st game back from the break in Milwaukee. They learned from that, and got better from it.

I was close. Flip the Clippers L with the Phoenix W, and if they won the Lakers game...

Whatever, I'm not mad. Just glad to be almost right.

I was bang on with the 1-3 prediction for the two LA games Phoenix and Denver. I just didn’t figure they would sweep all the other games, I figured at least a couple surprise losses in those. But they beat all the teams they were supposed to
