I rest my case bro. Rose's numbers during his first run with us and his second run with us are similar at first glance but different in some important ways. You can blame it on other stuff like Phil Jackson being an idiot and stuff off the court but his first season points and assists weren't good numbers, like Drummond being able to put up numbers and not impact winning.

Nowadays, though? Much better. Rose isn't alone, though. We've had a lot of empty calorie seasons from a lot of players since then. I'm enjoying some good play now.

Thats fine for the regular season though, in the playoffs we probably need more than Pelle and Noel.

Had some good bets last night. Made money on Knicks to win but I also had another bet, Randle to get 30+ and Knicks win combo. Screw you Rose!

Didn’t even know I had money in there until a few months ago I randomly logged in. Had only $100 but now $600, yes the Knicks win streak may be helping

its true...he has had the #1 show forever now...he is a character and he is paid handsomely to do so.

The Knicks are just a tough match up for Ja, everything that stifles his skill set the Knicks do. They pressure the ball, the clog up passing lanes and they protect the rim. Even without Mitch and Noel they had Gibson and Pelle doing their best impersonation of them, it was pretty impressive.

The Knicks are hard pressed to succeed against the best 4 teams in the west in 4 straight games with Gibson and Pelle as their center rotation so let's hope Noel is ready to go sooner than later. I won't doubt them but it wouldn't surprise me if they lose 3 of the 4, it's just a really tough stretch of games.

The issue with Rose's first stint was we didn't need what he brought as badly as we need it now and also he still wasn't as in tune with what he physically could and couldn't do. There were so many attempted layups that years prior he would have been able to finish but he couldn't do it anymore. There was something draining about DRose's volume scoring that year. We just never gelled that season and he even admitted it himself. That team needed more of a pass first jump shooting PG. Phil tried to address it with Calderon but he was toast by the time he got here.

Rose, now, can shoot as much as he wants because we give him some decent spacing and we don't have many off the dribble threats. He's picking his spots better and he's actually probably our best guard passer too. And on this team he's a defined leader. Players don't feel resentful or bad deferring to him on offense. The culture we have now has allowed Rose to thrive even if the statistics are fairly similar to his first go around. His impact is undeniably higher.

For someone who talks as much as he does SAS is the worst at articulating the points he has to make. Repeating 'Brooklyn what' over and over is a waste of airtime and breath, it makes him look like an idiot.

In the same amount of time he could have said, 'The Nets have 3 of the best scorers in the game on one team who have barely played together this season while still having one of the best records in the league and a great chance to win a title but the biggest story in New York is the Knicks'.

Max would have very little to say to that because it takes away any points he can counter about the players, their record and contender status. It drives home that even with all that nobody in NY cares about the Nets, it's all about the Knicks, they rule the minds, hearts and media of the city.

Instead he sounds like a frothing ignoramus repeating some inane line over and over like someone who doesn't deserve a job being paid millions to talk for a living. That's not entertaining, there was nothing of value in that segment in information or entertainment, he doesn't deserve the platform.

I wonder if Leon sort of promised Johnnie Bryant the job once Thibs is done. Although it seems like Thibs still has a lot of juice left in the tank so who knows how long he could go, but he is one of the 5 oldest coaches in the league. It could be they have some sort of wink wink deal in place with Thibs and Bryant considering he turned down a pretty big college coaching gig.
