I hate the Mavs, but if they pull off the sweep on the Clippers we might actually have a shot at Kawhi.

If so this Hawks series is crucial. We need to show Kawhi we are legit and that Randle can be the 2nd option on a playoff team.

Kawhi needs to show us he is legit as well. There are no Tim Duncan, Manu, Parker, Lowry or Gasol here. He'll hafta lead by example be the driving force. Can he do that with this current squad? If we sell our kidneys we better be sure we can win it within 3-4 years. And that ain't happening. Not only because I have doubts about Kawhis leadership but also because of the windows. Nets will probably three-peat. LeBron is here, Steph is here. Its not a good window.

We either keep building culture and develop RJ and Quick and keep picking smart + offensive for Zion, Booker, Mitchell or Luka in 3-4 or buy someone really young like Lavert who will be in his prime in 3-4.

Don't spend on Kawhi or Lillard. Not the right move at the moment.

I think the only question about Leonard is how his personality fits into a team that is jiving so well together. His skills fit this team perfectly, and I think he will score well off players like RJ, Randle and Rose. Also curious what the Heat do with their roster if they get swept. Robinson and/or Nunn could be good potential pick ups if the Heat decide they don't want to break the bank to stay in the same place.

They own the clippers draft rights until 2026...imagine if he does leave...its going to send shockwaves and cripple that franchise for the next 10 years...

It's why cap space is to be cherished, especially for a major market. You just never know who is going to become disgruntled and opt out. While I'm not sure the Kawhi's load-management would work under Thibs, I don't know how the Clips go into another season with Kawhi and Playoff P as the core of their team if they get knocked out in round 1.
