Here is my guess as to the players the Knicks will try to acquire this offseason.

Russell Westbrook for starters. Knicks need a playmaker, and that's what he is. I don't want him, but the Knicks will. Don't be surprised if you start hearing his name being mentioned to the Knicks. There are not a lot of 'star' players available, and he just might be one of them if the Wiz decide to blow it up (they should).

Here is the list of players the Knicks will probably target:

Jimmy Butler? If Jimmy wants out, NY seems like a logical destination. Jimmy doesn't like the 'Big 3' type scenarios. He wants to be the man wherever he goes, and in NY, he would be the man.

KAT - Seems like a logical destination for him, if he wants out. But I'm starting to think he's happy in Minny, now that they have rising star Anthony Edwards.

John Wall - Houston won't keep him. Still relatively young, and is very talented.

Lonzo - Rumors flying about him

Keep in mind this is NOT MY PREFERENCE, this is a list of who I think they will target. One or more of these players listed will probably be in a Knicks uniform next year. If you don't like the list, don't get on me. I'm just being realistic on which players might actually be available.

Feel free to add any players I might have missed. I tried to stay away from the Lavines/Dames of the world, because that's not happening.

I could see the Knicks FO swinging for KAT & Lavine to form a "big 3" with Randle. Those 3 won't win you a title, but maybe they hope to take a step forward and then trade one of them for a better fitting piece later.

Off your list I'd like Turner, Gordon (cheap) and maybe DeRozan (if cheap enough and we get a decent point guard). Of course I'd like DeAron but no chance he's gettable for what we have to give.

Wall, if we also get picks with him. Maybe Porter JR or Barnes, again if cheap enough.

Don't break the bank, go for 2nd round with healthy Mitch, a shooting big and more shooting/playmaking in the backcourt.

Leon Rose was his agent, and the Cavs could end up moving him if they draft a guard/wing, it's pretty clear they like Garland as their PG of the future.

I think Markelle Fultz might also be available

Shush! Options like Nunn & Lonzo don't fit with the narrative.

Thank you. I agree that Miami won't be keeping both Nunn and Robinson. I would take either one, although Robinson is going to get paid. 20M per paid. I don't know that the Knicks should be handing out those type of contracts to specialists just yet. Holmes is also going to get paid.

We would need Lonzo & someone like Lavine / Sexton / Fox. Lonzo would be a nice upgrade on Elf who helped us take our defense up a notch, especially with Mitch coming back. But we need someone else that can create in the halfcourt as well, and that's just not what Lonzo brings to the table.
