I am not gonna read that long post but I agree with the title. We can’t vaccinate out of this pandemic. To be more clear, not the way it is done. These vaccines turned out to be similar to flu vaccine. Effectiveness decline in time and it seems like we will have to get booster every few months. That is not going to end well with the virus constantly evolving. We should have vaccinated the whole world fast and not let the virus evolve. We didn’t. Going forward, this is the only solution. You can’t have half of the world with no vaccines and then expect to keep the other half safe. US and EU need to open the vaccine to the rest of the world. They need to do it today.

Preaching to the choir. Big Pharma greed is real. Biden should’ve nationalized the means of production and taken it from there.

We’re going to break our own record for COVID related hospitalizations today.

Just parroting what the statistics published in The Washington Post.

Image

The United States is poised to surpass its record for covid-19 hospitalizations as soon as Tuesday, with no end in sight to skyrocketing case loads, falling staff levels and the struggles of a medical system trying to provide care amid an unprecedented surge of the coronavirus.

Monday’s total of 141,385 people in U.S. hospitals with covid-19 fell just short of the record of 142,273 set on Jan. 14, 2021, during the previous peak of the pandemic in this country.

Nope. Three weeks ago. Some reports probably got it wrong and said it was today. Fanni Willis is going to indict Trump by the Summer for election fraud and she was giving Trump the standard offer to cooperate before she takes the next step. She ain’t messing around.

She’s holding all the cards. That looks like a rock solid case with a highly urban jury pool.

I saw it reported for the first time tonight on Lawrence O’Donnell’s show. He made it seem like breaking news. Also Maddow

In any event, I’m glad to see that case moving forward in a timely manner. Got to keep the pressure on a weasel like him. Boot on neck.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/11/health/deliberate-omicron-infection-wellness/index.html

In case the thought had crossed your mind, here are five reasons why you should not purposely try to catch Omicron.

1. It's not a 'bad cold'

Significant fever, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, sore throats and heavy congestion are often reported even in milder cases of Omicron variant, Murphy said, leaving people debilitated for days.
"People are talking about Omicron like it's a bad cold. It is not a bad cold," Murphy said. "It's a life-threatening disease."

2. You could get long Covid

Called "long Covid," the phenomenon is characterized by such debilitating symptoms as shortness of breath, severe fatigue, fever, dizziness, brain fog, diarrhea, heart palpitations, muscle and abdominal pain, mood changes and sleep difficulties.
Severe forms of long Covid can damage lungs, heart and kidneys, as well as your mental health and may qualify as a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other federal statutes.

3. You're spreading the disease to children

4. You'll stress the health care system

5. Don't mess with Mother Nature

Too many angles for Trump and his kids to defend against

1) Fulton County - Election Fraud
2) NYS - Corporate Malfeasance
3) NYC - Criminal Dealings
4) DOJ - Federal Charges stemming from attempted overthrow of the government

Still little info, but investigations confirmed

(5) Westchester County - Corporate Fraud
(6) District of Columbia - Insurrection/Capitol Police related

He is going to jail unless he croaks in 2022.

The three kids will also be punished in some fashion.

And asset seizure is coming. He will be a pauper

From my Majority Report newsletter today. In sum, Biden is heading down to Georgia to make a big voting rights speech and how he’s calling for a carve out of the Filibuster in order to achieve it. But voting rights groups who have been on the front lines in Georgia won’t be attending.

Here's what White House senior advisor Cedric Richmond had to say:

"It's really about the fact that there's a vote coming up. The Senate leader has voiced his plan. We supported his plan, and we're going to use the White House to try to galvanize the votes.”

The "votes" Richmond is talking about is using the bully pulpit to convince -- who else -- centrist Senators like Joe Manchin to support the filibuster carveout. Around and around we go.

This is such a tedious and probably futile move that some voting rights groups -- you know, the people who have fought the hardest against Georgia and other states' draconian suppression laws -- aren't bothering to show support for Biden while he's there. A coalition of voting rights groups is pointedly skipping his speech, saying that his inaction up until this point has already spoiled the show for them.

From the Times:

We do not need any more speeches, we don’t need any more platitudes,” said James Woodall, former president of the N.A.A.C.P. of Georgia. “We don’t need any more photo ops. We need action, and that actually is in the form of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, as well as the Freedom to Vote Act — and we need that immediately.”

That about sums it up! Good luck today Joe.

The President went down to Georgia, he was lookin' for a soul to steal
He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind
And he was willin' to make a deal

It's tough to watch what's going on, as much as I like and respect President Biden, those who have been fighting tooth and nail have been saying for months that this needs to be the priority. Everything else is worthless if you lose your democracy.

All the bad guys need to do is buy off one or two Senators and they can stop anything they want. Just sad.

Stacy Abrams ain’t showing up either. Anyhow, the Biden agenda is slipping away unless he decides to go bare knuckles now. One whittled down infrastructure. No BBB. No voting rights bill.

And he announced he’s going after the filibuster even though the odds are against him. You’re squawking about a 50-50 Senate with two rogue democrats. You couldn’t do anything more yourself with those odds

Biden can damage Manchin in serious ways if he so chooses via executive order as I’ve been saying. And if an an investigation should ensue against his daughter, no one would question this bc she is a criminal.

Then Sinema would be all alone. She wouldn’t be able to handle the incredible pressure.

The Senate is putting it up to a vote.(Apparently, Schumer broke this news on The View  ) Could happen any day before MLK Day. Buckle up. This has to be prime time TV stuff. Hopefully, we have some unseemly pressure being applied by our dark forces and a plan B in case we lose the vote.

Senator Bernie Sanders has called on Democrats to make “a major course correction” that focuses on fighting for America’s working class and standing up to “powerful corporate interests” because the Democrats’ legislative agenda is stalled and their party faces tough prospects in this November’s elections.

Sanders has proposed trying a different tactic and that is holding votes on individual bills that would be a boon to working families, citing extending the child tax credit, cutting prescription drug prices and raising the federal hourly minimum wage to $15.

Hold these hearings from 6 p.m. on through the night on national TV.

Biden should've had his speech in West Virginia, not Georgia. We have two Senators - and Stacy Abrams - all fighting for voting rights there. There was no need for Biden to go to Georgia. He should've taken it to Manchin head on. That's bullshyt.

Return to New York Knicks
