The team got worse. You can depend on last season’s defense to grind tru some difficult games. The offense wasn’t always there but they suffocate teams into submission.
This team. Nah. It’s reverse, they depend on offense and specifically 3s to bail them out. Sad thing is, the “shooters” on this team are flukey. No shooter pump fakes an open shot. A 3 point specialist nails an open corner 3. We dont have that. We have a “dribble between the legs, behind the back, fadeaway heave and pray it goes in” shooter.
And thibs, oh thibey. You **** play the player who’s playing good for **** sake. How hard is that

Years ago, we were complaining about the Knicks not getting on with the trend of utilizing the 3-ball. Now, we are complaining about the Knicks too much 3-ball (and not much in between)

I like the 6 and 7 pm starts so the loss can happen earlier and the complaining can start in earnest with lots of time left in the evening.

With the new officiating this year of defenders allowed much more contact, you'd think that rule would have benefited the knicks defense has in fact hurt this team.

It's not about taking them, it's about making them...they shot under 30% last night, yet gave up 60%

The Knicks aren't making 3's because outside of Rose, no guard/wing breaks down the defense and gets it moving.

Fournier is deliberate and can create for himself and others a bit, like Burks, but they are hardly elite.
RJ needs a pick to sniff the paint.
Walker needs a Walker.
IQ is basically Hubert Davis. He's done some work and getting into the paint but is scaring nobody.
Grimes will be the same.
I doubt McBride makes anyone think of Iverson. He'll probably be Charlie Ward 2.0.

At least the Knicks can shoot, as opposed to past teams which lacked elite creators AND shooters.
