The best wing for them in this draft would probably be Patrick Baldwin, but he is probably going top #5. Really high floor, to the point you got to look at him like Duarte and wonder can he add to his game. He moves and plays like a NBA vet, very in control and purposeful. His BBIQ might be better than his natural ability, but it’s clear he knows how to play. I guess like a less talented Lebron.
Ousmane Dieng might be worth the risk just because he should be there late lottery and has Star potential. Watching him play he moves and shoots like guys who occasionally drop 50 on opposing teams. He is really raw but at 18 playing against grown men you got to wonder how he look after 3 years of development. However, because this team revolves around Thibs I doubt they take on a project.
I would say Mathurin is a strong likelihood to be the pick. He doesn’t have a high ceiling but his floor is high, and he feels like a “scrappy” Thibs player. Reminds me a bit of Deng but not as big (which people always forget is what made him so tough as a wing). Doesn’t project to be a star but should have a good career and contribute to a winning culture.
