After watching the past 10 games, it is clear that we are not is a slump but there are fundamental problems with this team. Number one on the list is the inability to breakdown the defense with dribble penetration. We have the shooters, but passing the ball on the perimeter and hitting the 3 is not offense. We should trade Ben Simmons for Randle, 2 FRP's and maybe even throw in Grimes if needed. Ben Simmons for all his faults will penetrate and breakdown the defense and get open shots for Fournier, Kemba, Quickley and maybe even Barrett. Otherwise this team is no better than a 500 team and once the league figures out how to defend them, maybe not even that.

We already have Burks, we don’t need Milton. But we can take Thybulle.

You trade for Simmons you need a stretch 5, a point guard who can shoot, and wings who can play without the ball.

And also an innovative coach to get the best out of him, ideally.

Randle doesn't fit with Simmons at all so you probably put him in the package.

Simmons penetration is meaningless if he's scared of being fouled.

I have to believe the 30 names are just starting points, with a player selected from each of the 30 teams. Given their current drama with Ben that would be the best course of action, to get as many teams as possible to believe they have a chance and raise Ben's stock. They may as well play the long game because right now Ben is toxic and they are not going to get what they believe he is worth.
