Rumor has it they still want to build around Fox, so till be interesting what happens with Mitchell and Halliburton.

Fox is a better shooter than mvp era DRose btw. Thibs might be able to work with his style of player as long as Randle goes out.

Fox and his contract are worse than Randles. Fox can't shoot. I guess if you're shipping RJ for him and finding a stretch 5? The Kings record speaks ror itself.

Does Fox play good defense?

Not a fan of Fox. You want to offer Haliburton we can talk.

Knicks are last in pace because of our shriveled orc coach. Fox can't shoot. The defense will just ignore him like they do now on any 1/2 court possession. He's just bootleg young Westbrook, plays fake defense, can't shoot but needs the ball.

I'd say trade Randle for him but Fox contract might be the worst in the league behind Ben Simmons.

THIRTY SEVEN MILLION for like the 20th best PG.

RandlesCornrows wrote:Fox is available and we certainly have tons of assets, so I’d be shocked if Leon isn’t involved. We got two point guards that’s broken down. Acquiring Fox would give us that big step forward for sure. Obviously he’s a poor shooter, but he’s someone that can score 25ppg and run an offense. Would be our best PG since who? Clyde?

Question is would the Kings want Randle or Obi as a starting piece. Are they still looking to rebuild or want to compete. I think Leon is committed to Randle and with a point guard like Fox, Randle becomes extremely valuable since De’Aaron is ball dominate.

I’d assume guys like Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, Mitchell Robinson, IQ, Miles McBride, multiple picks, even Randle would be discussed in a deal. Not all together but 2/3 pieced together. I’d want to keep Q Grimes the most cause he’s that piece that would be MASSIVE in a playoff series so keeping him out is absolutely necessary, but I can see the kings being all over Grimes to replace Buddy.

But keeping Randle with a core of:

Julius Randle
De’Aaron Fox
R.J. Barrett
Cam Reddish
Quentin Grimes/Immanuel Quickley (assuming one is dealt)

After a deal would be pretty damn legit surrounded with 3&D role players. Since these guys are not even near their prime except Randle, and not sure if Fox is still peaking. That’s a team that can compete for a long time.

Honestly I feel we’re the perfect trade target for anyone willing to trade their star to I feel confident a trade for Fox will happen.

they are not committed to Randle believe that

Fox would be our best PG in decades. If the price is Obi/IQ I’d do it instantly

The Kings have some good role players.

Their problem is that their star sucks at being a star, and hasn't shown that he's capable of taking on a lesser role (especially due to his inability to shoot).

Fox is your prototypical Knick from the mid-2000s. Fool's gold in my opinion, and that's before you take his contract into consideration.

as a lucky lefty myself, I'm not too keen on a roster with 3 lefties in the starting lineup. That would create a lot of future spacing issues, even if you acknowledge that one of those three can operate on the weak side.

Other problem is that I think Fox & Randle operate in too many of the same spaces on offense. I think you can only go with one or the other otherwise you'll have a mess that no coach can fix.

These issues are totally separate from the other legitimate issues that include Fox's dropoff from last season, defensive issues, poor perimeter shooting, and generally being on a losing squad for a long while.

Because I don't see the Kings wanting Randle, I'd pass on Fox. Also, I believe Fox is a 2nd option at best.
