Planning with Randle on the Knicks

Post#1 » by Jeffrey » Sun May 1, 2022 2:00 pm

I see a lot of posts (including me) that have Randle off our team for someone's star or just throwing him away. What is your plan (prediction) WITH Randle staying with us? Reading about what Leon Rose said regarding Randle, it sounds like they may keep him if his value is low.

Go ahead folks, what would you like to happen if Randle stays with the team?

No! You don't use that gif as if I'm for Randle staying LOL

But I must face the inevitable that there's a strong possibility Randle will still be on this team starting the season.

I've done my fair share of irrational hate but if his value is low then we shouldn't trade him just to trade him. His contract is actually very reasonable. Let the guy redeem himself. I know we all want to make our speculation trades/ free agent signings but this front office isn't targeting to make a splash this free agency anyways

We need a new leader, trade him for picks or younger players

I’m hoping he has an even better turnaround from his first season here than he did last year if he’s still here opening night

Perry signed him originally. Leon extended him. Mills is on the BoD. Dolan hugged him and paid his media fine. Randle’s still their guy. When have the Knicks ever NOT double-downed, triple-downed, quadruple-downed on a known mistake?

Knicks also haven’t extended their own FRP since Charlie Ward. The plan is now and has ALWAYS been to trade RJ plus any/all recent FRPs in return for the first Marbury-Melo level Tier 2 star that comes available.

Leon, with his boss’s full backing, is about to offer Obi and RJ to Utah for Donovan Mitchell.

Trade away package with Obi & RJ and picks for established star. Trade Robinson for pick, draft a Center.

He can’t play in a team oriented offense!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Him having a bounce back season means he’s scoring in isolation sets over and over!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That gets us nowhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’d rather drink bleach than watch this guy wear a Knick jersey ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, we're not but I'm preparing for worst case scenario.

What is your offseason plan with Randle still a Knick in mind?

Win-win if we keep Randle. If he plays well, great. If he doesn’t play well at least we can enjoy the reactions on these forums.

Yes, I would like a newly renovated station and for Dolan to pay tax on that land.

But would be acceptable offseason if Randle stays with the Knicks?

Get Brunson or Mitchell here to play with Randle. That would be my #1 goal and it seems like the Knicks have the same mindset as well

Imo there’s no decent outcome if he’s still here because Thibs is still the coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s no way thibs & Julius can both be back and this season be a success/decent in any way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If thibs was gone I’d be able to give Randle a clean slate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I have no doubt thibs will lean in further to what he did this past season especially now since it’s clear that he’s on the hot seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since they’ve made it clear that thibs will be back Randle has to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can’t have them both on the team next season!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU JUST CANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
