This is America. You very well know that there's a subgroup in this country that thinks exactly like him. Around 30-40%. With the internet, they can connect. It used to be all over this country but disconnected. It was always in barn houses, small churches, or whatever.

I agree. White nationalism is by far a bigger threat than anything that could happen to us overseas. This isn't new nor is it an anomaly. It's far too common and yet we continue to do nothing - which is the definition of insanity.

No it has not and it needs to be. Maybe we could start with national legislation outlawing militias. I haven’t research this issue as it has first amendment right to freedom of association implications. But c’mom, no one should have a right to associate with others for illegal or racial purposes.

Yeah except this guy like dylann roof wasn’t in a militia he was just radicalized into fascism and his manifesto says the same “white replacement” stuff that Tucker Carlson repeatedly says on tv every night to millions of people which encourages exactly this type of stochastic terrorism. He’s no different in mindset than any mainstream Republican in 2022 he just actually decided to act on it

The First Amendment has become part of the problem. There are certain kinds of speech that incite threats to civil society. The 'white replacement' rhetoric has to be quashed, as do the other paranoid delusions being spread by a certain style of for-profit media.
