I always knew Dolan had the ability to build championship teams. People who attribute his success to being in the country's largest market don't know what they're talking about.

Hopefully the Knicks can take the blueprint of building from within.

Ice hockey is a sport where brawn and finesse is combined in unison and you have to have both; totally different to today's NBA, dominated by flopping like fishes and catering to the weak and small. Cant use the same ideals from hc and use it in bb

The Lightning are looking like an old hockey club. If Tampa Bay loses game 3 it's pretty much over...

I was expecting to split the first two games, so getting game two was quite the pleasant surprise. What's to be said about the youth movement that hasn't been said already? Mika is playing at an elite level at the moment, if Panarin starts to really get rolling man this team can really make it a serious against Colorado if they win against Tampa.

its either going to be 93 Knicks (blowing a 2-0 lead in the ECF) or 96 Yankees (Regime change but winning core built by prev GM) with the trajectory of this NYR team.

Biggest upgrade is Gallant over Quinn. I feel like Thibs didn't play the Kids the way Quinn did, it took Gallant some time to adjust as well but he's given Kappo and Laf a longer leash this season it seems.

Glad those other ranger fans helped and showed they don't represent that douchebag with the sucker punch.

By the way, NYR should've never let the foot off the gas in game 3 when they were up 2-0 in the 2nd Q. Once Tampa won game 3 & 4 and tied the series, I knew it was over for the Rangers.

Tampa will blowout the Rangers in game 6. I hope I'm proven wrong but Tampa wants that Dynasty.

Wrap it up. It was a nice run, but Rangers haven't closed that talent disparity with the top 5 or 6 teams in the league yet.

A news reporter asked Bobby Nystrom if he thought
the '81 NY Islanders could beat Kreider's NY Rangers.
Bobby said yes.
Reporter asked by how much?
Bobby replied by a goal in OT
Reported queried why such a close game
Bobby said… Well most of us are almost 70 now..

Strome missing that gimme right in front of the net was the end of that game. They whiffed on a few opportunities throughout that game and they paid the price. I don't like our odds on the road, but this team has been incredible with its back against the wall...so fingers crossed.

With the playoffs just around the corner, lets bump this old thing.

The trade for Tarasenko/Kane has been looking awesome.
Igor is really starting to round into shape, he's been looking pretty damn good.
Cythil reups with the team on a nice deal, hopefully keeping the kid line together for quite some time.

Big game against the Devils tonight.
