Hi Knick fans !
The votes have been tallied, the off-season been graded, the season been predicted now let’s play some ball !

Mod willing , I’d like to start a series of polls to determine who we think should be the starting lineup for the 22-23 Knicks . This can be very interesting who knows what we come with ?!
Each poll will last 1 day to keep the process moving in a timely fashion.

We will start with the backcourt:
Then we go to move on to the FC going C to Sf.
So 1st roster decision my Friends: Pointguard.
Next roster decision : Shooting guard
Next roster decision : Center

Current lineup:
1. pointguard | Jalen Brunson (82% of votes)
2. shooting guard | Quentin Grimes (59% votes)

For backups the minute allocation for a backup can be complicated or semantical .
So I think the simplest way would be to make the best 5 man squad to spar our starters : starting with pointguard.
Next position SG.
Next position C


Same time frame as other polls. 1 day. If we get activity we’ll continue the series or see if dies on the vine .

Shooting guard | Immanuel Quickley (44% of votes)

Went Hartenstein .
Was only person who voted for Obi so went with more realistic option .
Mitch would probably be my last choice on the list to start .

For some reason
more than the others feels like it’s Mitch vs the field . And it’s fair.

Mitch is a 10pts/8reb/2blk guy regardless if he starts or comes off the bench

Hartenstein's outside shooting and passing opens up the floor (especially the paint) for everyone else. He's also not terrible defensively, so not a whole lot is lost from moving Mitch to the bench.

He'll get a lot more usage with the second unit and can still end up playing most of the 4th quarter (if that's what the game dictates). I want to see him playing with Obi ... and whoever is left on the second unit.

Mitch will start but there will always be plenty of minutes for the others. He's only averaged 23 minutes for his career and 25 minutes last year. Not much will change imo

Lol I totally want to address this but it’s too early today to be ragging on Mitch I don’t want to be that guy. Especially since our board has been under attack by the Utahs.

So we’re gonna wrap up this attempted series of positional data due to lack of activity .
Results for Backup center ,backup Power forward , and backup small forward are inconclusive .

Evan squeezes minutes from IQ/Grimes/Cam. Everyone else is set. Rose will backup Brunson.
IQ/Grimes/Cam fighting for backup minutes behind RJ/Evan.
Cam is in no man's land.
Obi backs up Randle.
Shartenstein backs up Mitch but probably sees more minutes than the other backups.

Until the roster is set. 10 different threads to discuss these positions is ridiculous.
