We’ve had games where a lot of our primary options played well including the Randle breakout game during this losing streak. That’s the concerning part.

our point of attack defense has been worst in the league quality and it all falls apart from there. and there's multiple perpetrators.

Grimes and Mitch aren’t enough to cover up for Brunson and RJs defensive breakdowns. When Randle is actually locked in it mitigates some of the issue. Having said that, Randle hasn’t been contesting shots for the last two weeks. Add that all up and you have a disaster on your hands.

If you can upgrade RJs spot in the SL with someone that can be average defensively with length that would help. The other under the radar issue is that Randles back up (Obi) is atrocious on that end as well. When Randle isn’t focused on D it would be nice to have a backup 4 that could give you 16-18min of excellent defense. The only thing I ask of Jalen is to at least fight around screens and take a couple of charges. That’s the best you’re gonna get.

I pretty much agree with everything your wrote. The one thing that I thought may be in error was Brunson taking charges. I haven't checked the stats, so I could be wrong, but I thought that was the one thing that he did do on the defensive end.

Hope to see some major changes this summer.
