KAT is the name we are the most linked to right now.

Possible reasoning:
-He is CAA
-Media quotes that Rose is definitely interested if he is available
-Minnesota clearly committed to Gobert now and possibly a bit soured on KAT.
- They could potentially see one of Randle or RJ as a much better fit between Gobert and Anthony Edwards.
- They are not in our division so more likely to trade with us.

Where there is smoke there is usually fire.....

Lets say 1 of Randle or RJ go in a deal for KAT. What else do you bring in to fortify the Roster around him amd Brunson? I would definitely at that point try and trade whoever is left of either RJ or Randle for Siakam to strengthen my front-court defense and make up for KATs lack of it. Mitchell or Obi goes too...

So scenario #1:

Siakam, Towns, Hartenstein
Towns, Siakam, Obi
Hart, Siakam, Grimes
Quickly, Grimes
Brunson, Quickley, McBride

Scenario 2:

Robinson(30), Towns(13) , Siakam (5)
Towns(20), Siakam (20), Hart (8)
Siakam(10), Hart(20), Grimes(18)
Quickly(28), Grimes (14), Hart (6)
Brunson(35), Quickley(5), McBride(8)

Sharpe good asset because of his future...nurkic and thybulle are worth nothing much either and neither is that late 1st.

Yes POR has so much talent...yet they won 33 games this year...but I'm not thinking

You call that using your brain? So because young players with upside don’t produce wins they’re worthless? Lol ok

The way I see it, only Brunson is/should be untouchable. Everyone else is on the table and available in the right trade!

But I'd like to keep RJ, IQ, Mitch, Hart, Grimes, Hartenstein and Deuce. Iffy on Obi. I'd love to trade Randle in a deal that makes sense but I don't see it right now. Rose won't be back and Fournier needs to go. Don't care about Keels, Jeffries or Washington.

Absolutely. Siakam can play 3 positions. C, PF and SF.

He is the defensive complement to KAT while having a much more dynamic offensive game over Robinson. KAT can alternate between the 5 and the 4.

This is exactly right. Brunson is the face now and rhe only untouchable.

no because the same thing plagues the Blazers every year...they don't defend. Anfernee Simons isn't going to wake up one day and be a defender...he is a high volume scorer that doesn't really playmake that is suited for a 6th man type role.

How is Nurkic and Grant young???

the only guy with true upside there is Sharpe.

But yes hurl insults instead of having a back and forth with someone that has a differing opinion...also great for productive debates...

My issues with trading for KAT

1. His best position is center, therefore we will have to move Mitch as well.

2. This leaves a hole at PF

3. We need a defensive PF next to KAT whose not soft … that’s not obi

even with a defensive minded PF its so easy to still exploit a a 1-5 pick and roll with both players being bad defensively.

If you are bad at POA defense you can't stop anyone and that is the key for having a 5 that can defend that P&R.

Now would KAT make us better on offense sure...but in theory you can hide randle defensively a bit...its tough to hide a center...especially since you know thibs is so reliant on rim protection with his 5's...and that aint what KAT does.

Ideally I want a change of scenario for Randle for pretty much anything reasonable...but not sure KAT gets you where you want to go.

He shot way better percentages than Randle has ever his first time in the playoffs

He had 1 bad series after that. It happens lol

Those are the percentages he shot when his only job was to make open shots or score in transition.

Not quite an apples to apples

Would it be worth it for us to trade some of our guys to Portland for the #3 pick?

Not really Scoot and Brunson both are PG's and Brandon Miller is nice but if Portland thought he would be there they wouldn't be trading #3
