I don't know if Perrin has any management skills, but if talent evaluation is the primary criteria then he sounds like a good option. You don't always have to be the lead negotiator as GM.

This role is ripe for Rosas to take over. It'll be a cheap replacement.

Anyhow, Perry's role was limited to more clerical duties since Leon took over. Do the stuff Leon doesn't have the experience to handle. The Knicks FO though has a lot of basketball minds, so basketball decisions are made on a collaborative approach.

Perry brought some credibility at the time of his hire. However, there were some clear warts and blind spots in his player and personnel evaluation (Knox, Fiz, Mudiay, Burke, Zo, Magic players, lack of interest in Euros).

If I update my resume and include my years of experience building losing squads on Build A Team, I might have a shot at taking Scott Perry's job.

Long overdue.

He sucked.

Don’t sugarcoat his reign.

Never forget “his guys” Ramon Sessions, Elfrid Payton, Mario Hezonja, Kevin Knox, etc. Scott Perry was only ever attracted to inefficient low IQ players. He was a horrible member of the front office.

FROM BLEACHER REPORT ON Gersson Rosas:

Rosas was most recently the Minnesota Timberwolves' president of basketball operations. The Timberwolves fired him last September, with The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski and Shams Charania reporting at the time the team's owners had heard "a vocal contingent of staffers express concern about the way Rosas conducted his business."

According to Krawczynski and Charania, the issues with Rosas extended outside of the organization. Agents and executives from other team were reportedly less than thrilled with how he conducted negotiations and treated others.
