While it to be true Russia has theoretically more men to call on and more equipment to squander (counting their cr*ppy WW2 tanks) what the Russian cheerleaders don't realize is that Russia killed 3.9 MILLION Ukrainians in 1932-33 AND THE UKRAINIANS ARE STILL IN THE UKRAINE!

Losing a tank or 2 (they have 93% of their stuff still available) isn't likely to make them cave.

UPDATED

Russia keeps replaying that one failed Ukrainian assault, the one in which they lost a Leopard 2 battle tank and up to 10 M2 Bradleys infantry fighting vehicles.

New video from the Ukrainian side shows that the Western gear did their job—the crews were saved.

I’m not a fan of this title. It’s the Russian operation to denazify Ukraine! Such a motivated country. They even managed to get a traitor, Donald Trump, into US office!

To the bitter end Comrade!

Yes, we may be 18 years old and dreaming tearfully of Mama's borscht soup while the shells fall all around our carefully dug trenches, but when our leader Putin abducted us from the family dinner table to make us fight for Mother Russia against the evil Ukraine we rejoiced at the good fortune to sacrifice our lives while our brothers and sisters who escaped earlier to Bali now make powerpoint slides for investment bankers in New York City and party like its 2099!

It has been on the front page of the NY Times every single day since the war started even if Fox or CNN don't care to stay on top of it

The Ministry of Defence said that the Ukrainian soldiers had met “mixed” resistance, with some Russian units holding their ground but others fleeing, with some forced to retreat through their own minefields.

To the bitter end Comrade!

Head of Wagner Group is defying Putin's demand that his mercenaries sign contracts directly with the Russian Defense Dept. I wonder what the line in the sand will be for them to take their ball and go home, because they are not going to comply. He said he expects Putin to start limiting supplies to his troops if he doesn't do as he's told.

Tucker Carlson pushing the Kremlin narrative that the dam blast was done by Ukraine

Carlson has always been an opportunistic traitor. I surely hope the DOJ has his texts to Mark Meadows

You can tell that the Russians are getting nervous cause the message coming from the troll farms (and the people who uncritically regurgitate their messaging) is that Ukraine needs to immediately agree to a cease fire and negotiate a peace deal lol.

Ukraine drone captured Russian barrier soldiers shooting down fellow Russians fleeing from Ukraine attack back to "safe" lines. On Twitter but don't know how to link it here.

Wow. Not surprising if true. The great majority of the Russian troops are there by coercion alone. Still shaking my head at the weirdo posting the Russians will fight to the end. No they won't, not when they rape and kill their own soldiers.

Not Russia or Ukraine, but it looks like tensions are getting pretty hot between Kosovo and Serbia. This could be another proxy war.

Serbia is the only country in the Balkans not part of NATO. A very strategic location. Serb PM is very conflicting on the face if he's more Russia/China; or trying to get into the EU and be more western.

There’s a book called The Lands Between that talk about how a lot of the countries in that area of Eastern Europe have employed similar tactics. If done right, the countries are able to keep themselves safe, extract concessions and avoid pissing someone off. Screw that up and you end up like Belarus.

It’s an interesting book, though, because it details the type of hybrid war Russia has waged upon the west for a long time, and you start to see the patterns of how Russia often successfully undermined democracy here and there, although the States are a bit more resilient.

Malcom Nance on the eve of the war. First in a series. Later in the podcast he'll cover some of the same people at war and his own experiences there:

Did Nance calm down after getting an inflated ego over his first brush with internet celebrity?

I found him interesting at first, but then felt he was turning into a BSer drinking his own kool-aid.

I like him in limited doses even though he's a bit full of himself.
