Who can take this team to another level?

we are still missing the #1. Brunson is as good as a 1b or 2 as it gets tho.

This season... just bring in Malcom Brogdon for Fournier + a pick... keep Grimes...

Then in the off-season, look to bring in Spida or another star who may be a good fit (preferably sending Randle out)

From the list of 4 guys? Probably Murray or Mitchell. Neither is perfect but both guys will give this team another high end shot creator and facilitator. Come playoff time that could be the difference between moving on and going home.

I voted other because I think all we need is someone like Bogdanovic (ATL) & a healthy Mitch to make a run to the ECFs or further, if Julius starts to deliver in the playoffs. If he doesn't then we need to replace him with another player who can close to Brunson's level in the playoffs.

Assuming Julius can play like his is now in the playoffs as long as he & Brunson are both healthy, Mitch returns with time to get back in game shape, and our depth guys don't guy abnormally cold, then any AS level SG or above...Booker, Mitchell, Lavine, Bane, etc...and maybe some tweaks to the bench would be enough for title contention.

ideally joel embiid. but that plan went out the window when the sixers got nick nurse.

so going off the list, donovan mitchell plz.

Why should that be alarming? We had 11 B-level Futures...so not counting SRPs, Deuce, or Sims. We spent 2 of those 11 on a guy who's a fantastic fit and just 2 years older than the kids we sent out. Do I wish we had spent RJ + 24 NYK FRP + DAL/WSH FRP, and been able to keep Quickley, instead? Sure, but we still have a ton in the warchest and McBride might just be in the process of turning himself into a 12th B-level Future.

It’s January and Ihart is playing 41 mins on weds against a 500 team. Then you have OG who played 43 mins yesterday and that’s definitely not sustainable. Then you include an ankle sprain from Jalen or Julius and that completely changes outlook. The point is we are going to be trading and adding with parts for minimal gain when you build a team this way. And when you look at the time line Jalen nor Julius are close to any of the elite players at their ages. So it’s the old dangle the carrot while we never really were serious to begin with. The key way is to build through the draft. Now that’s no longer an option so expectations have to come into play. And no real knick fan is gassed off the 7-2 after trade record in January. We know how certain people respond when the lights are bright.

No one on that list. We are multiple pieces away and maybe one of them could help but, no one on that list is the missing piece.

The Celtics, Lakers, Raptors, and Heat would have far fewer rings if they had grown too attached to their homegrown players to bring in upgrades that lead them to rings. Building through the draft doesn't just mean holding onto every single kid you pick, it can also mean selling high on them for piece that better fit your team.

Not seeing any real substance to your critique, feels like you just miss RJ & IQ. Which I get, I miss them too...IQ in particular would solve a lot of problems right about now...but you're just not making a coherent argument

When's Luka going to ask out? Him and Brunson together made the western conference finals together.
